Just got my first PV today. Couple questions.

First I just want to thank everyone for these great forums, they helped me decide to try PV's and what to order to get started.

I got the basic Joye eGo starting kit, 2 drip tips and 3 1oz bottles of juice from Tasty Vapors. Couple questions.

1) Do the batteries come fully charged? I figured that they would need to be charged before I got started. I have one on the charger now and the instructions say the light will turn green when it's done. The light is currently red, but it flashes green for a half second every 10 seconds or so. Seems odd, bad charger?

2) I plan on dripping (hence the drip tips). From what I've read people normally do 2-3 drops at a time. How do you know when those drops are done and should add more juice? Also, I blew all or most of the primer out of the new atty, do I still use 2-3 drops or use more the first time because it's new?

3) Vapor. It looks like smoke but it isn't. But will it set off smoke detector/alarms? My PV couldn't have come at a better time, my mother is going in for back surgery tomorrow and I'll be spending the next couple days at the hospital. Exiting the campus to go for a smoke is a huge pain in the ..., but now that I have a PV I figure I can just sneak away into a bathroom stall... just wondering if I have to worry about smoke detectors going off.

1. Normally they do not come fully charged. Some charges short a TINY bit so when you see it flash green then red it means nothing. we all got the same charger with our joye products and i can attest that i know what your seeing. just wait for it to turn solid green for longer then a split second 8)

2. a dry new atty should take a drop directly onto the atty and then a few drops after. I personally like to flood my atomizer right off the bat (have it leak a tad down the sides) so i throw 4 drops directly ontop of the atomizer coil. You will know when it's dry when you start tasting a burnt taste. Now, don't let that fool you because initially almost all atomizers have a burnt metal taste (it's brand new from the factory, gotta give it some wearing in to get rid of it)

3. i'm truly not sure if it will set off fire alarms. i'm sitting directly under one right now at work and i vape like a fiend and have never ever set one off. And the best part is you won't have those pain in the ... moments of having to run outside aslong as your in a vape friendly place 8)

I read somewhere on here that there are two diff kinds of smoke alarms. I don't the poster had any luck trying to set off either kind with his pv. Sorry I couldn't be of more help on that question.

After an hour the charger finally went solid green, so that's good. Put 5 drops directly on the atty and gave it a shot. Wow, not what I was expecting. The TH and nicotine was a lot stronger than I thought it would be. Maybe the 24mg was a little too much compared to my Marlboro lights.

Atomic Cinnacide is quite tasty though.

Just a tip for the newbies thinking of buying their first PV. Only extra thing I wish I would've bought is a couple empty 5-10ml bottles so I don't have to cart these big 30ml bottles around.

When stealth vaping blow your vapor into your chest, shirt or sleeve. When I stealth vape in a stall I make sure all of the vapor goes in my mouth and I blow it out down into my chest area and I don't take huge drags. I manage to not have any waft upwards.

I know one charger I have flashes regularly as it is charging then goes solid blue(?) when done charging.

Thanks for the tip dormouse. Blowing the vapor down into the clothing really works!!! I too have to be discrete and go to the stall at times to vape.

Since the vapor goes away quickly, I don't worry much about smoke alarms....but if I'm in a stall and I don't want anyone to see vapor, I blow it into the water....it's mostly water anyway, so....works. I've heard that there is a kind of smoke detector that reacts to the vapor clouding the area....not too sure about that.

My ego charger works the same way, with a nano second burst of green light followed by 6-7 seconds of solid red light. It is green when fully charged. They do come mostly charged from the factory.

I like to remove the wick when dripping with attys. I have no idea why they are there. I get plenty of vapor and better taste with out it. Removing the bridge is a different matter. I personally have not had luck with removing the bridge. Check youtube for a video from phee about how to remove the wick from an atomizer. It should be the first one to pop up. Its super easy, and I actually use just needle nose pliers and a toothpick.

I like that bottle mate that Mrs. T sells. Looks perfect.

Right after the flavor starts to diminish is when you need to add more. If you ever have any doubt, or hear tons of gurgling with no vaper, blow it into a paper towel a few times, and then add 3 more drops. Its better to have them too moist, that to let them go dry all the time.

If you like AC, you should try the black licorice, and dedicate an atty. It is a perfect flavor.

24mg is def potent stuff. Im used to an analog every half hour or so and a couple puffs of 24 is all i need.

A tip I read on here and tried is After you inhale just breathe a bit of air in through your nose then when you exhale very little vapor is visable. Like I said, I tried it and it does work.
