This is really what so many people have raved about? It sucks air... literally. Hardly any vapor, hardly any taste, little more than air.

I've tried the Kamel and the dark blue cartomizer that they threw in with the starter kit. The Kamel tastes horrible so I took it off after a few puffs. The blue one has a tiny bit of flavor, not enough to tell what it's supposed to taste like since it tastes like air. Absolutely no throat hit.

My Protege isn't doing how it was when I first got it a couple of weeks ago. The batteries are fully charged, charge them overnight. I ordered 5 more 510 atomizers because the 3 I have don't seem to be working well. I received those today too and was so looking forward to a good vape but there's no improvement.

I'm out of Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured so I'm trying the V4L juice I got recently, which aren't doing it for me either. I've cleaned all the carts and filler and done fresh ones.

I'm ready to chuck the whole thing and try to deal with just quitting smoking and I really want a smoke! I don't want to be a whinner, I just want them to work. :(

Lady Pamela, do your cartomizers have slots on the bottom? There was an issue with some of the cartomizers not being slotted and there was no air flow. If you're having to suck that hard, something is not right.

I don't even draw on mine...just put it in my mouth and push the button, kind of sipping. I don't know how to explain it.

the KR808 is an automatic and they do have slots. My Protege was GREAT when I first got it. Great vapor, hit and taste with JC juice. I don't know what's wrong with it for the last week or so. It's been getting worse and worse so that's why I ordered new attys. I have cleaned it too. I do notice that there is almost no "sizzling" sound now like at first. I could hear it vaporizing the juice but I listened very closely to it tonight and I don't hear anything.

I hope the JC I ordered on Friday is an improvement.

First, throat hit on auto batteries is not the best. AFAIK KR808's have a 5sec. cutoff too so that does not help either.
I can use cartos only at 5V. It's seems to be their sweet-spot.

Regarding the Protege, I think you may have a bad battery charger. That explains why its performance decreased.

Some batteries seem to have too much air - I think newer ones have one less hole in them. Here's a post that might have a solution for you to make it draw better:

Hopefully that will help your vapor problem. I get decent vapor on the prefilled cartomizers, but much better when I use 50/50 VG/PG juice. Also the pass-thru and the new V4L XL batteries with the 13-second cutoff make a big difference over the 5-second auto batteries.

Lady, I don't know about the cartos, but with the 14500 batteries in the protege, I would think that it would really kick out some vapor. I use the 14500's in a couple different mods I have and really like them. I don't know what kind of charger came with the protege but I have a couple surefire tr-001 chargers that work great. If the protege is that new, I would call or contact puresmoker and see if they can help you. There should be some kind of warranty on it and I have heard some good things about them so I am sure they will try to help.

Id be using the cartos on your protege with the adapter you can get.

Call Cash at Puresmoker to find out if the switch or something is keeping your unit from getting the voltage it needs. Someone else had a problem with a newer protege not acting or working like it did when it was brand new and he fixed it for them..
