I just got my new manual battery. Couldn't wait to stick it on the charger lol. WOW I really like it. I also noticed that it lights up blue instead of the green like the description says. I like the blue anyway.

One question I do have is I ordered the Cinnoman -18 is it suppose to have a fruity smell and taste? almost like a mango taste maybe ??

Steve thanks for the freebies

Yeah, a few of us brought it up in another thread. Steve was going for a French Toast type cinnamon taste but it didn't turn out that way. He's moved them to the super sale section. He also said to mention it on your next order and he'll replace them if you want. I personally thought they tasted almost like pear, with just a hint of cinnamon. They're not that bad, but definitely not what I was expecting from a cinnamon.

Also, your manual's led is blue? Is it one of the new 10 second cutoff ones? What color is the body? I just got my new emerald green with the 10 second cutoff, and it's led is still green like my old manuals. Personally I'd like to have one with a blue led, it's one of the things I like about the automatics.

Easiest way to check the cutoff time is to hold down the button without a carto on it and see how long until the led blinks and goes out. Shame it's the black with the blue led, I already have three black batteries and get them mixed up all the time (like which one is charged and which isn't, etc). Next battery I buy will probably be blue.

And I think he moved the cinnamon to the super sale section a couple days ago after someone started a thread about them, so it hasn't been too long, odds are you bought them before the move.

Its gloss black, blue led and it seams to be 10sec cut off. I know I cant do a normal inhale to kick it off, have to hold the button down and hit it twice and TONS of Vapor!!!!!!

I seen they were moved over to the sale section but I think I ordered them before they were moved or I didnt noticed till after I placed my order.

Wow I haven't seen any blue ones. We were under the impression that they were all green.

I just received my order today(black manual w/10 sec. cutoff w/PCC), and yes, the LED is indeed blue.

I have to say, this device has a nice, relatively hard draw, and a very good throat hit, outperforming a Yeti 510, and RN4081 I own. Vapor production is decent, perhaps akin to the 510 with maybe around half the battery discharged. All in all, a very good device, and most likely to be my primary vaporizer of choice.

However, I do have a question regarding the PCC. I put the battery in to charge, and I cannot tell if it has been fully charged. The red LED is blinking rapidly every second or so(after about an hour charge). When the battery was put in for a charge, it was solid red and would blink every so often. What does this mean? By the way, the PCC battery itself is fully charged, and is showing a solid green LED.

Also, a big thank you to Steve and Mark for including an e-liquid bottle as an extra. Your service is outstanding.

When you plug the PCC into the computer, one light will turn red showing it is charging and will turn green when the PCC is fully charged. When you put in a battery to charge, the other light will turn red to show it is charging, but when charged will blink every so often. Most of the batts I have received have come fully charged... ;)

I knew you would get the emerald green first!!!

Yeah, I tend to luck out because I usually have orders in when the new goodies come so he tosses one in! lol Easy enough to do, I am averaging like 2 orders a week! 8-o But I am stocking up! If I ever end up missing on this board, it will be because my hubby saw the bills and shot me! I am counting on Phoenix to come and revenge my death! ;)

(Actually, hubby is so happy I quit, he doesn't mind the bills - so far)

Hey for those of you who have used an 801 and also have a VK, can you tell me the pros and cons of one vs. the other? I am an 801 user but considering adding a VK. One thing I'm curious about is how many times can you refill the cartos before having to toss them? Will it be cheaper for me in the long run? I'm burning up attys on my 801 all the time and I'm tired of it!

Also for you heavy vapers, how often are you topping off? The VK cartos look so much smaller than my 801 carts.

I started with an NJoy NCig (RN4072) which is an 801 copy, so I'll try.

Leaking:
801 - Leaks. The carts leak, the atty leaks. You know this one.
VK - Never leaks. Throw some cartos in a pocket without worry.

Changing flavors:
801 - Got an extra atty? If not, you'll have to vape the new flavor for a while before you get ONLY the new flavor. Did you just vape menthol? Forgetaboutit.
VK - Unscrew one carto, screw on another. Instant flavor change.

Battery life:
801 - Don't ever leave home without an extra battery.
VK - Even the normal-length batteries last quite a bit longer. I haven't tried the extra long, but that would probably make the VK nearly as long as an 801.

Topping off:
801 - Never leave home without a bottle of liquid. You WILL need to top off and/or refill a cart.
VK - Same as the first one, above. Throw a few cartos in your pocket & you're good.

Hope this helps.

Bob

On edit: How many times you can refill depends on how you treat them. Some report 15 or so times. Seems much cheaper than replacing 801 attys.

Pawpaw thanks so much for all the info. This is exactly what I needed to know. There's no doubt I will be making my vk purchase next pay. Everything you said about my 801 is correct...especially about having to not leave home without my big ziploc bag full of extra attys, batts and juice! I appreciate you taking the time to give me such detailed information. Guess I didn't realize what I have been missing all this time.

Funny thing too, I bought a vk for each of my sons but never got to try theirs and they don't come around enough for me to ask them much about them! It's sad when I have to go to strangers on a forum for info my kids could give me! But this is their first pv so they wouldn't have anything to compare their vk to either. Maybe Steve will give me a nice discount for purchasing a third starter kit within a month? I also sent him two referrals just this week. Co-workers wanted the smaller one rather than the pen style like I have. Wish V4L had a commission-based program!
