really like this mod! Built solid and love the screen. The menu system which I was slightly worried abt is actually a breeze to use. My first vv was a buzz pro and in comparison the Provari is very heavy but I'm sure I will get used to it. Am also finding the battery life is not as good as the buzz with or withought the extension cap. It mat be the batteries though as it came with two used so don't know how old they are. I ordered 3 18500 and 2 18650 so hopefully the new batteries will give me more vape time. Overall liking the Provari a lot but will hold onto the buzz pro until I'm positive its the one for me

My batteries are approaching 4 months and still easily getting 24 hours out of both kinds but then I never just have 1 mod with me.

Just in case.

4 months into owning my Vari's and not a moments regret. Don't think there will be now lol

Haven't but still think you could use them to hammer in nails!

Wow this has to be old batts I have had a buzz and a buzz pro and got nowhere near the batt life I get with my provair's they go at least 24hr for me and I got maybe 10 on a good day with a buzz. Not knocking the buzz I still think it a solid pv.

TIPS on using the proveri.

Turn off the led button light. It blinks to tell you that the battery is getting weak, but it starts warning you way to early. It is annoying watching the led blink slowly (for two hours) warning you: battery almost out.
Even with the led turned off, it will still blink fast when the battery needs charged.

Also, even though it stops working and the led says battery needs charging, you can usually get another ten to twenty minutes (when set at 4.5v and lower), just by removing and replacing battery cap.

When batteries get about 6 to 10 months old, it might start to get a little finicky (not firing all the time). Just make sure the threads are clean on the battery cap and sleeve. Also, you can sand (fine grit) the battery ends a little, to ruffin up the contact points for a better connection.

Other than that, it is hassle free.

On AW IMR's I take them out and charge them when the led starts to blink. From what I've read they don't like to be discharged too low reduces the life of battery.

When I used to run Ni-Cad cells I always fully discharged them to avoid memory problems with IRM you don't have this issue. At what these batts cost I want as much life as I can get. I might be over cautious but if your rotating more than 2 cells why not.

I don't let them even get that far, I pull mine at 3.7-3.6, the vari is my at home mod so I'm always around batts.

I read somewhere (think I was an rc heli forum) that if you don't discharge limn batts below nominal voltage before you charge them it doesn't count as a cycle.

Of course the above statement could be complete hogwash and I'm talkin out my south half.

Sick HP and kaptobe,

What you guys stated is a Wives Tale.
First thing: PV's are only useful with 3.2volts and up. Batteries are only drained when they get under 1volt. We NEVER have Drained any PV battery.

When I remove and replace my battery cap (like I mentioned in my last post) to get a few more minutes out of my charge. My battery is only discharged down to 3.2v after that. We only use One Fourth (1/4) of our batteries charge. If you recharge when your battery gets to 3.6volty, you have only used One Eighth (1/8) of your battery's charge.

Standard and EGO batteries charge up to 4.2volts also. EGO's have a voltage limiter that fire only at 3.3volts, when it gets down to 3.2volts, it has us recharge them. Not because the battery is dead, but because the device needs at least 3.2volts to operate.

These batteries last from 1 year to 2 years, and will work for a long time in our ProVeri's, as long as you keep the battery connections clean.

So: Don't Worry, Be Happy
