Just got my ProVari. I have a stupid question.

When I look inside of my ProVari, all I see is the circuit board and a nub where the positive of my battery connects. Is that all that is supposed to be there? Is there supposed to be a protective shield or something? I have attached a pic, I hope, of the inside of my ProVari. Please let me know if this is how it is supposed to be. It seems that when you insert the battery, there should be something to stop it from possibly slamming into the circuit board. Or, I might just be OCD.

Yep . . . that's all there is. It's built very sturdy, though. I found out the hard way yesterday when I dropped it on my garage floor . . . all concrete. The internals didn't budge, and there's not even a nick on the outside. GAWD I love this thing!

It is correct the battery makes contact with the pin on the circuit board. Its very cleanly constructed if you ask me. .Just one circuit board that slides in and nothing to break in there.Its also good because the tube will absorb the hit if you drop it and wont damage the board.
