Just got my starter kit from Got Vapes and I am have a question with my Ego-T battery charging

and I tried charging the battery with the included mini usb cable but how do you tell if it's done charging? I've read that it should light up red near the mini usb port but that doesn't light up. Any suggestions?

Usually there is a light on either the charger or the device itself, sometimes the button. Time will tell, but you can often go on the manufacturer's site and check the manual, assuming one didn't come with the device. welcome and vape on!

Unscrewing the stainless steel cap at the bottom of the eGo pass through reveals a usb port that you plug your provided six foot USB cable and the other end plugs into one of your computer's usb ports. There is a red indicator light that turns on while it is charging and turns off when the charge is complete.

Most batteries come new with nearly a full charge. Perhaps yours was actually full, so the light doesn't come on, indicating that it's charged.

Or perhaps what your plugging the other end into isn't any good? Are you using a wall adapter or a PC? Do you have any other USB charged devices (Ipod, tablet, phone...) that you can use to test the source?

What the others already said plus I noticed I have one USB port on my computer that doesn't charge the battery. The light doesn't come on when I used it so I use the other USB port.

I agree, go to another USB port.

My charger is red when charging, and turns green when fully charged. It also blinks green every so often when charging.

That's typical of chargers, Beerbrah. The battery also has an LED, which, according to Gotvapes site info, should be red when charging, off when fully charged.
