Hey guys!

Just received my tornado/ego and had my very first vape experience today. Overall it's all right, there's a good amount of vape but my throat hurts a little. I'm also experimenting with direct inhale as oppose to usual inhale methods on analog cigs.

I bought the starter pack from totally wicked. Do all tobacco flavored liquid taste like burnt coconut or am I doing something wrong here :glare: - I thought I may have burnt it but when I open the other cartridges and smells it - smells about the same taste I vaped in - horrible horrible taste

Anywho I know this has been asked like dozens of times but I just want to reconfirm on some of them. Short answers will do :p

batteries
1) I got 2 batteries - It's recommended to always charge your battery even after like just 2-3 vape session or whenever possible right?
2) Is it recommended to rotate batteries usage? Like today I use Battery A, tomorrow Battery B and day after back to A

Attys
1) Aside from blowing into attys from both sides after each vaping session, cleaning attys after 2-3 days of usage, rotating between attys on daily basis, any other things I should take note?

Is it recommended to disconnect batts, attys and cartridges from each other after each vaping sessions? Will cartridges dries up in 1 day etc?

Thanks guys!

Cheers
DT

I think I know the problem.

The carts they sell in the starter kits tend to be generic flavour and usually not very nice. I don't see the logic myself as people will want a good first experience.

You can solve this problem by getting some empty refillable carts and a better flavour nic juice. Then you just refill yourself as required. TW's tobacco is quite pleasant, but you could also try other brands and flavours, such as vanilla, coffee etc.

Sounds like you might have some wicking issues.
I'll follow up with another post about that after this post.

Lithium Ion batteries thrive with frequent recharges.
But it doesn't really matter enough for you to spend ANY time worrying over.

I don't see any reason to do that unless you want to.
It seems to be more of a hassle, but whatever routine works for you is the best way to do it.
:)

My personal opinion is that you might want to blow out or drain your atomizers.
But once per day is more than enough in my experience.

And I don't see any reason to rotate atomizers, I used to do that, but stopped.
I've been using the same 510 atomizer exclusively for 6 months now.

Is it recommended to disconnect batts, attys and cartridges from each other after each vaping sessions?
Not really, although you might want to disconnect the atomizer from the battery if you put it in your pocket, because then if the button accidentally fires nothing will happen.

I don't bother with that, but some people do I guess.
I just don't wear tight pants.
:D

Not sure how long it takes cartridges to dry up.
And it depends on how much PG vs VG is in your juice.

But I always used to keep mine capped when not in use.
Now I drip, so I no longer use cartridges.

Regarding wicking issues.....

Dry atomizers, flooded atomizers, and wicking
Basically, you want to keep your atomizer happy with plenty of juice, but not too much as to flood it.

A good sign that it's flooded is that it gets a little harder to draw on and you get little or no vapor.
Flooding it, however, won't hurt it at all, and you can just blow out the extra juice.

Letting it get too dry, on the other hand, is not good for the atomizer supposedly.
But regardless of whether it is bad for the atomizer or not, you still don't want to do it.

You can tell it is too dry when it starts to taste like crap.
A nasty sort of burnt plastic type of taste.

One reason it might get too dry is if you burn through the juice faster than it can wick up more.
That is why people experiment with different kinds of filler materials to use in their cartridges.

If you take only a drag or two every now and then, you should be fine.
But if you use these like a cigarette, the wicking process will have trouble keeping up.
There are ways to deal with this, and people have different methods that work better for them.

And of course, when the cartridge is running low on juice, it needs topping off for this reason.
