Yeah I guess I shoulda specified which way was the top from my POV. I had it right, I just didn't wanna break this work of art. And now, I wait for my batts to charge. This is my first mod so...I cant wait.

This is my first experience with the CR123's. I was shocked at how long it takes to charge these things up! I fully depleted the first set I charged (got my V2 yesterday) and those took 2.5 hrs to initially charge. But it took over 3 and a half hrs today to recharge em!!!!! Is that normal for these batts? Is it bad to run em till they quit? Is there any protection from over-discharging?

Any veteren CR123 owners out there able to chime in?

Quitter -- LifePo4's use a safer chemistry than your standard li-ion batt! Use em till they stop, then charge them up I keep 3 sets in rotation myself ... 1 is an emergency set

I noticed these batteries dont seem to hold there charge very long...I wonder if this gets any better with time. I know to get there full capacity it takes 3-5 charge/discharge but if I dont take them right from the charger into the v2 they start to drop. I understand this happens in general but seems quicker with these lifepo4 rcr123a bats. anyone else notice this?

They tend to discharge pretty quickly right off the batt, then level out. what time tables are you seeing with your batts? For Instance ... I get anywhere between 3-6 hours depending on usage.

The batteries work both directions. I have had mine in backwards I guess. Just switched them and it vapes with them both ways.

Isn't that wierd?

nonono...I meant I charged my 3 sets like you...but by the time I used my 2nd or 3rd ...I threw a meter on them and they had dropped from 3.7v roughly right off the charger to 3.4 in 8 hours....so they dropped .4 volts in 8hrs while NOT being used...

T-Hef ... You shouldn't see more than 3.4v TOPS from the very get go! These are only 3.0v rated batts bud!!!!

Trickle Charging I bet ... Thus the reason it doesn't stay peaked at 3.7v. 3.4v is where it should stay -- That's not necessarily a battery issue, more of a charger issue!!! lol

Not sure since I never take mine down to completely dead.
