I just switched over from Mistics. I used a Mistic battery all day and a cartridge lasts a day and a half.

I opened up the box and tried to charge each battery. The long one needed charging, the short one did not. I used the short one and put a cartridge on it.

Cart didn't even last me two hours, and I didn't even puff on it that much. Not to mention, the drag is super loud and hissy, and vapor production is terrible compared to the Mistic. The Mistic barely made any noise during a drag. Not to mention the Volt doesn't even hit my throat at all.

I am leaning far towards going back to Mistics once my local Pilot gets them in stock again.. I thought I would get a much better product but I must say, it didn't live up to me expectations whatsoever.

Just thought I would share my experience.

The Mistic has gotten some good reviews for a small ecig, so if you like it get some more. Apparently you feel it is better than the Volt. I actually bought one of those at a Pilot station and it wasn't bad, had good battery life for a small ecig, ect. If you do get another one, make sure you know how to refill the cartos, since they are somewhat expensive. You can at least save some money by refilling them.

The drag shouldn't be super loud and hissy, especially not on a 65mm battery. Is the shorty the 65mm? I recommend contacting their customer service. I've got 4 Volt batteries and none of them perform the way you've described. You don't say how often you vape but if, as you say, you hardly puffed on a carto then it shoud last over 2 hours. Mine last much better than you've described. As for throat hit and vapor - what nic level did you get, because that's where throat hit comes from. Mine give plenty of vapor. I suggest that you contact their CS. Some time back I had an auto that was too airy and hard to draw and their CS replaced it for me. A Volt working properly doesn't do what you describe.

The shorty is quieter than the longer one, however they are both much louder than my Mistic battery. As for the cartridges, the Mistics I used were 1.8% nic vs. 18mg on the Volt. I figured it was comparable considering "extra-high" probably wasn't a match. The draw is very airy with the Volt and much harder to pull. The Mistic is not airy and that's why I believe the throat hit is better, also because it doesn't take hardly any effort to pull on it. I plan on using the volt cartos on the Mistic battery since it seems to hit better and produce more vapor.

For future reference, the Mistic threads are not the same as 808. The pitch is different and it's harder to screw an 808 cart on the battery, however it is possible and I'm still getting it to work without an o-ring.

I've tried both batteries in combo with different cartridges. I'm just not really very impressed. The hissing off the long battery reminds me of my ancient NJOY.

I'd contact CS and send them back. Mine don't make any noise at all. None. I'm vaping one now. :) The draw is easy - I wouldn't use them if it wasn't. If you got them from SI their CS is very good, and they'll replace anything faulty. You should still be under warranty.

P.S. 18 mg may be a bit low. 24 mg may be better for you.

Just seems a bit strange that BOTH of my batteries are super loud and airy... do I have the worst luck in the world?

I pulled on the battery itself just to check for noise. It was quiet as a mouse.... I am blaming this on the cartridge but I don't get why the design is like this. The carto is what's so noisy..

When I put a Mistic carto on the Volt battery it's silent... but obviously it doesn't work since the threads are too long on the Mistic carto. But it's silent regardless since no air channels.
