...or....rather....don't. Kinda like having a vacuum cleaner that doesn't suck!

I am not saying Volt has the best 808 cartos, I actually like Bloogs better (2.6 ohms instead of 2.8) but none of their stuff is supposed to be as BAD as the trouble some folks are having, and I trust them to fix that.

I have also realized that some of my own problems might be from switching back-and-forth between hard-draw carto tanks and easy-draw clearos, ce3's, and novas. If I draw hard on the latter, I get leaking. If I draw softly on the carto tanks, I get...nothing.

So I might have to pick one "family," at least for enough weeks to see if one particular set of habits fixes things for me.

I have to say the only whistling and airy draw problems I've ever had with any batt including Volts was fixed by either cleaning threads or raising the post very slightly with a toothpick per some of the youtube videos.

I also have to say that once I got my Volt X2's I have trouble working up enough patience for the 78's, and now that I have a variable voltage device, I prefer that with anything that heats up very much (and therefore changes flavor with voltage)

The Volt X2's are GREAT with a mini-Nova + 808/510 adaptor though, and the ce3's seem OK with thin pg juices, OR if I snip the wicks a little so the ends are varied-length and not all jammed between the atomizer and the sides of the tube.

As for the rest of the comments, I'm still on the stealth end of my vaping experience. I want it to look and feel like an analog. I'm pretty sure the kGo and the XL's are just too big for me right now. I do plan on getting cartos, possibly from VaporKings or V4L, but if someone can point me to blank cartos with a hard end cap like the Mistic instead of the soft silicone cap, that would be great. I tend to play with my Ecig like I would a pen, and always end up pushing down the silicone cap into the carto on accident.

Here ya go: Vapor Heaven

I've never used these, and don't know how they perform. They're at 3 ohms, which is a little higher than the Volt cartos also.

All the videos I could find were how to fix it when the battery post and carto post don't meet right, but I thought it helped me a couple of times with airy draw if the problem was a little less than just plain not meeting. Maybe I'm mis-remembering but I really think it helped once or twice.

These are not the ones I watched but 3 videos on tips and tricks and fixes.

I've stopped worrying about the ends going inside once I started using the rubber tips, which are also more comfortable. But before that, I just had to carry a paper clip in my pocket.

This means they would operate cooler, correct? Does this have an affect on the vapor/throat hit?

I believe the Volt cartos are 2.6-2.8 ohms. As I said, I haven't actually used the 3.0 ohms ones from Vapor Beast but they may vape a little cooler as they are at a slightly higher resistance. I have no problem with the Volt cartos - I like the horizontal coil and they work very well for me. You might want to do a forum search on 808 cartos.
