As an aside, I searched all over the forum for a specific topic page here on ECF devoted to standard vape pen batteries (meaning not APV/Mods), but could not find one. If I've missed it somehow, sorry for posting this here. And if someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Sorry for writing a short novel here, just want to be thorough in my information.

I just received for my wife and me two brand new Vision Spinners at 1300mah. I have to say that they are the perfect compliments to our new Protank Mini 3's.We are vaping juice from Mt Baker Vapor, with mine being their Spurburry (3 mg nic, almost pure VG), and my wife using their Hawk Sauce (6 mg nic, 50/50). The results are incredible, and a definite upgrade over our old EVOD tanks.

Our Protank Mini 3 coils are 1.5 ohms, so we have our Spinners set at no higher than 4.3 volts, since we've heard horror stories of batteries melting down if trying to run any higher settings with a 1.5 ohm coil. Not sure if it's true, but don't want to chance it.

Prior to getting the Visions, we were using our original Ecigexpress rebranded Ego clone 650mah spinners, as well as our genuine Ego 650's. Now, I understand that the mah rating relates to the amount of storage the battery has, so obviously, I understand that a 1300mah battery will last longer than a 650 would. But we seem to notice that the new Visions hit harder than the older Ego's did/do. The vapor is much thicker, and the throat hit is more intense.

Am I imagining this? Is there any reason why a new 1300 mah battery should hit harder than a 650 would? The 650's are both several months old. Maybe it's just due to age? Anyone else have a similar experience?

If you're using the same voltage on both, they should provide the same "hit"

However, every device/brand is made a little differently. A device that reads at 4.3 watts, might not really be generating 4.3 watts, so there will always be variances. Additionally, the voltage level might also change over time (depending on the battery).

That could be why the new 1300 is hitting harder.

No, you are not imagining it. I noticed it too moving from the crappy little eGo-T 1100 to the VS 1's.

The Vision 1300 spinner is a solid small mod. It has protection built in so you can't really over stress it so turn it up till you like it. My wife still uses the 1300 and the Protank mini 3 and I think she runs it at about 3.9 to 4 something on a 1.5.

Age definitely affects the battery. On older batteries, under load, they will sag more than newer batteries and output less than the indicated voltage. As your Spinners are newer, you'd expect them to sag less.

As Spartanstew said above, don't be afraid to twist the dial and find the vape you like - they do have protection built in. Most of the stories of batteries 'melting down' are when charging. You'll not do any harm (or the risk is minimal) at the voltages and resistances you are using.

Glad you found your vape-happy place. I used a Spinner for a few months when I started and I was very happy with the performance and durability. I still have a couple of them as backups.

Just because you can't have a vape thread without eye candy

Blue Vision.jpg

What colors did you get? Mine first was blue (favorite) second was stainless. Wife has the rainbow and my old stainless. Ole blue was lost to a mowing fiasco. They do not bend well but not any less than the Vision two's heh.

The Mowing Fiasco - the new Bourne novel by Robert Ludlum.

My spinners have been surprisingly durable. I've not mowed them, but I frequently dropped them onto carpet, tile and even outside in the parking lot. Each time fearing the worst and being pleasantly surprised.

Hello and welcome to the Forum, (noticed you are relatively new) I too like my Spinner and have several egos I use alot. I found that it's not so much the battery that has better performance, but the Tank or clearo you put on it. A very good tank with low ohm rateing can be a world of difference in how you enjoy your Vape. I think they make the power output more efficient and it's noticeable. I have a couple of older egos' that don't have as much ump as when they were new so age may also be a factor,as you suggested. Hope you and your wife are enjoying your Vape time togeather! :)

I also started with the spinner for my wife and myself. I started with a protank 3 while she stuck with the evod purely so she could have pink to match her battery. The spinner only worked for a couple weeks for my, just wasn't enough of a hit. So now I run either my Vamo V5 with the Aerotank mega or my Hades with an Orchid tank and she has two spinners lol. She has finally moved on to the Protank and is much happier than she was with the evod.

The only difference I've ever been able to tell, performance wise, is when coils begin approaching the 'ready to die' point. I own six Spinners and four Twists, some of them are a year to a year and a half old, and with a fresh coil in my iClear16s, all of them perform just as well as they did when they were brand new.

I mostly use a Provari now, but I used the Vision Spinners for a long time, and was very happy with them. When one would start getting older, I'd notice a dropoff in production. At first, I could kind of make that up by turning up the voltage, but eventually, the battery just couldn't do the same job and it would be time to replace it. I vape a lot, and perhaps someone that doesn't vape so much wouldn't wear one out as fast, but for me, it seemed like they wouldn't last quite a year before I needed to replace them.

I wouldn't worry about harming them from turning the voltage too high. And the only time I broke one was from a drop onto concrete, and it managed to do something that messed up the button. It's possible I could have fixed it, but it was an older battery I was about to replace anyway, so I just tossed it.
