just got this protank II...

just picked up a protank II for a couple reasons. i like the way it looks, it has good reviews, pretty cheap ($19), and i'm awaiting a zmax v5 and wanted something decent to throw on when it gets here. check it out on top my little ego looks good even on it!
but anyways... does anyone know of somewhere that sells plastic replacement for the glass? i just have an ominous feeling and have heard they break (of course they break, their glass!)

i don't think putting in plastic would look as good, but i think it would make me feel more at ease just to have a backup on hand if needed and if i do need it, it means i broke my glass and maybe plastic is better for me. but yeah pretty much just wondering if anyone had come across one

If you plan on ever getting tank cracker juice I would get a spare glass tank. Most of the time mine fell off the counter it hit the top and not the tank. Backups

I've had my II for about a week, I don't see an issue with the tank being glass. Let me know how you feel about it after a couple of days of use.

I think the tank is actually Pyrex. I have a pretty good sized crack in mine(dropped it about 3 feet) and it still doesn't leak. It's pretty sturdy IMO.

yea it says pyrex and it is actually quite sturdy but a catastrophic fall would probably do the trick, i think im going to go pick up an extra just in case...

i didn't have any luck finding a plastic one however.

I think the glass has a better chance of holding up well then plastic would. Eventually, e liquids react with plastic and the plastic starts to break down. I would get another glass tube whil you're getting a plastic one, just to keep on hand should anything happen.

For what it's worth, I've got three of them and none have broken on me yet after a couple of drops. Always seem to smack the batt or top.

I've been running a Pro-Tank II for a couple of weeks now. I drive for a living, and so I have to carry my vape stuff in my pocket. Listen, the glass tank is better than plastic. It'll last longer, and it'll allow you to try flavors you otherwise couldn't. Citrus in particular... cracks plastic tanks but doesn't bother glass. The tank is more robust than you might think. I've carried it in my jeans pocket, on top of a large ITaste battery. Just treat it like your phone. Don't drop it or put nasty chemicals on it when you clean it. You'll be fine.

get a replacement pyrex tank, if you are that worried about it - you will ruin a plastic tank with any tank-buster juice.

i use PT minis and really am not all that worried about busting one - they are tougher than you think

i also have PT2..dropped it on its side onto concrete..glass didnt break however, the thread tip snapped...got it replaced..

really want to get the AeroTank from KangerT...looks nice

keeping em in the box after you've filled em is a good idea too, just sayin. get a pouch to put those boxes they come in inside, maybe a fanny pack type deal or something.

My PT2 was less than a week old and I dropped it off a table onto a wood floor. It cracked and leaked. Had to buy a replacement tank...which is cheaper than having to buy a whole new unit. I also have a couple of minis that have been ok so far. I do leave the protanks at home rather than maybe having a broken tank when I'm out.

I'm also looking for some good plastic tips for them. I don't care for the metal tips at all and so far I haven't found anything that's as wide as the pt tips. If anyone has any suggestions.....
