Wow...right next door...I really hope they don't hit us next. But I am sorry to hear that bs...

And I am sorry for reposting this topic..didn't realize someone had already posted about the Ny situation earlier this morning and the post got moved.

Mankato and Rochester MN have them banned. They are treating them like analogs.

This is what happens when you let your rights get taken away...first they try to take our guns...then to regulate how much soda a person can consume...now e cigs...they must be upset due to losing millions to vaping...can't sell analogs...less chances of cancer...ruins their plan of depopulation of the world...this makes me sick!

It's not a state ban, but a NYC ban... the same Mayor that wanted to ban "Big Gulp" sized soda cups and is also currently going for a ban on Styrofoam containers to be banned.

Give it time though... it'll be a state-wide ban soon enough with Gov. Cuomo at the reigns.

I was in NYC last weekend vaping outdoors all over the place including Central Park. Are they saying they can't vape outside anywhere in the city? I saw folks smoking analogs throughout the City while walking.

This goes back to Idiots who want the gov't to think for them. It seems like New Yorkers like to be told what to do so they continue to vote in tyrants to dictate every aspects of their lives. They'll get what they deserve, but what makes it worse is that after they have ruined their cities to the point where it's unbearable, they will move elsewhere and start pushing for those same policies all over again, spreading like a cancer.

Being that analogs cost $15 a pack in the City, vaping would be a huge cost savings.

Think you'll find many cities doing this, several here in Oklahoma have banned e-cigs in the same places as analogs were banned, like city parks. Just perception of the e-cig and no real long term data on the effects of second hand vape. There really are not enough vapers and we don't have the political clout to reverse this trend yet.

Im not sure if any other state bans e cigs but thats just crazy to me...I understand banning smoking in restaurants and stores ect but parks and beaches? I just hope these bans don't spread like wild fire and hit wisconsin.

They only banned them indoors.

It's still bad, but as far as I know, you can still vape on the street and in the parks at will. (and this time of year, good luck trying to catch you, lol)

Where this really impacts is people in offices or vaping in the bathroom on a break, in bars and restaurants, in event venues like concerts and sporting events, and the subway, among many other places. They say it only applies to anywhere smoking is banned already indoors. I don't know if the brick and mortar vaping stores are now prohibited from using their products in the stores now.

Some places, I have no problems banning them - I wouldn't vape in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and I wouldn't want to see anyone else doing it, but banning them at concerts and bars is just dumb.

It's a big impact in NYC, because NYC is a "go somewhere and hang out" city - most of the people I know who live there are rarely home, they're usually out somewhere doing something, inside.

As long as we USE BIG TOBACCO'S cancer deadly causing name e-'CIGARETTES'
the MASSES 100's of millions (innocent general public) are going to be against us and follow
the Pharma.. Big Bus... and Politicos... who ride the wild winds of MIS-Information!

This. This is why I hate the term "e-cig," and this is why I don't get cigalikes. WE ARE NOT SMOKING, so why pretend that we are? My equipment atm is a turquoise x6 battery with a pink pt 2 and a yellow swirl drip tip. This is a choice partly because I like colors, but partly because I want to make clear to anyone who may witness this very uncool and nerdy equipment that this is not smoking. It's something else.
