it takes 2- 16340 batts.. it is muti voltage device. dont know you would want to use any other batts in it..

Thanks for the answer(?) Doots. I was hoping to get more mahs than the assorted 16340 size batts provide, especially if I would drain them at 4.5v-5v or more. How long do you get and at what voltage?

dont worry about battery life, i got the batteries that Mike sells on his site along with the buzz. the day before i put a fresh set in at 5pm and yesterday they died at around 4pm, put a fresh set in and I'm still using them and its 7pm, and im vaping at around 4.9-5.2 volts.

I might be wrong but mike can correct me, since 3.7v batteries shouldn't be discharged below 2.75 the 2.75x2 would be 5.5v, so i believe that the buzz cuts out once its around that voltage, so even if you vape at 4v once the batteries are around 2.75v each then the buzz will just cut out automatically.

mike can correct me if im wrong.

How would you get 5+ volts out of one 3.7 volt battery?

I may be dumb but I'm not stoopid.

I'm no electrician, just wondering if the Buzz's POT could work as a step-up converter. Thought I remembered seeing the 18650 as one of the batteries the Buzz could use, but sadly I'm too lazy to look it up so I'll just guess that I'm wrong about that.

I like to have only one type of battery to manage anyway so I use the Buzz for my happy-performance-vaping and a mini vapestack for a small pocket-able 3.7 volter that I can just stuff in my fifth pocket and not have to have a different type of battery to manage. Still curious about the 18650 with it's mega mAh anyway.

A boost converter must be something that's not easy to put in a mod because I haven't seen one that has it.

I am not going to name names here. There are a few that do use a booster chip in it.

Any mod that starts off with 1 battery (3.7 volts) and is able to output more then 3.7 volts is a booster mod.

A regulator mod on the other hand always uses 2 batteries (7.4 volts) and outputs less then 7.0 volts.
