...and I'm pretty darn excited! Ever since I started sub-ohming and messing around with twisted and parallel coil builds I've been going through liquid at a much higher rate. So I decided to give DIY liquid a shot to attempt to save a little money and also to mess around with my own type of mixes. I already had some Kosher USP Grade VG as well as some unflavored 50/50 nicotine liquid (24mg) so I ordered a bunch of flavorings from mount baker Vapor (I know, I know they're are better, more gourmet flavoring companies out there, but I'm not sure if the diy thing is for me yet and for three bucks per 15 mils of flavoring, I feel like I really couldn't go wrong) and they came in yesterday. I did three mixes today all 10ml at 3mg nic. Sterilized all my syringes and glass bottles, used the v-ecigs.com calculator. One is just 20% of the "stock" pineapple peach flavoring. The other two I tried something a little different. One is strawberry kiwi and candy cane. The other is blood orange, white tea, and a touch of cinnamon, trying to aim for a sort of Asian spiced mandarin orange tea with this guy. All of them smell pretty good, hopefully they taste good as well. How long should I let these guys steep? I was thinking around a week. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

First of all, congrats on your new hobby within a hobby. Diy juice is awesome, and your flavors sounds delicious...I would think that fruity flavors would be good to go after a week, maybe sooner. I would definitely try some other brands as well, maybe the same flavors, so you can see how they are different (in case you don't like what you made, it might not be your fault). I like rts vapes, they carry lots of good brands! Good luck!

Welcome Aboard!! The savings will continue to roll in, just wait!!

And exactly, if they taste good, then vape away. If not, then let them chill in the cupbaord. Shake every now and then, then try again. If still not good, let sit awhile more, shake every now and then, then try again (repeat as necessary). But I'm sure you'll get the hang of it really quick! Its actually a quite simple process!!

enjoy and let us know how your progress is going!!

Went he same route a while back, bought about 100 odd flavours from MBV and in retrospect wish I had gone with TPA/TFA
I now have a huge stock of really good TPA/TPA flavours and all my MBV flavours are now gathering dust. Suppose I'll have them as a backup but IMO there is no comparison to the TPA flavours.
I find cinnamon to be tricky, a bit too much and it's WAY too strong (and the MBV cinnamon really sneaks up on you after a couple of weeks). I give my mixes an overnight bath in the crock-pot and it's about equivalent to a few weeks of steeping in my experience.
Almost all MBV flavours are best at 12-14% from my experience, others would seem to corroborate this as well.
FWIW I found the pineapple pretty skanky :/

Thanks for all the comments guys!
I've vaped all of the flavors and I'm pretty satisfied with all of them. The pineapple peach and strawberry kiwi candy cane were at little on the weak side flavor wise, probably gonna let them steep a little longer and see what happens, maybe add a few more drops of flavoring. From what I've read as well as my experience with stock MBV liquids, I think their flavoring is a little weaker in general, so that may be the issue.
To my pleasant surprise, my Mandarin Tea flavor was almost exactly what I was aiming for. There is this Mandarin Orange K-Cup Tea I really like and the flavor of my liquid is actually comparable. It may need a tad more blood orange flavoring, but I really can't complain for my first try.
For those who want to know I did 15% blood orange, 10% white tea, and 1% cinnamon (MBV calls it "cin city"). I heard before about cinnamon flavoring being kind of a tight rope walk, that's why I only did it at one percent. It's not overpowering but adds just enough of that slightly hot spice flavor I wanted, hopefully it stays that way.
Overall a very good first experience. I'll be purchasing some more flavoring from some of the higher end, more gourmet companies in the very near future. Thanks again for all the comments!
