Just one or two devices?

I sell my regulated mods when I upgrade but have a mech as a backup. So I always have a single battery, dual battery, and a mech. I don't see the point in having 2 dual batteries, or 2 single battery mods. If one breaks I'll fix or replace it.

I use 4 daily, and 2 semi-regularly.
The 4 daily are: an OKL2-T20 (DIY in a 1590G+ CNC box), a 30 watt iStick, a DualParaMos v1.4 555PWM (DIY in a 1590G+ CNC box) and a DualParaMos v1.3 555PWN (DIY 80*50*20 split aluminum box).
The 2 semi-regularly are: an OKR-T10 (DIY on an Iron Lung PCB in a 1590B Hammond) and an Unregulated single 18650 in a Hammond 1455C box.
All have a Kangertech Subtank Mini with the RBA. Only 1 has a flavor that is repeated. Each device, if the same tank was put on them, has a different taste.

I have 2 that I use every day, a subox mini and a disruptor, each with subtank mini on it. Neither will last me all day on one charge. I also have a couple of egos that I use if I'm somewhere that I can and want to vape indoors and want to be a little more subtle, like waiting in the airport (some still let you vape)
I also have a box with my k100 and a few various cigalikes that I never use anymore, but spent too much on to throw away. These are the functional devices, I do throw things away when they break, and I have PIFed a few of my earlier ego devices.

We go for simple. My daughter and I quit smoking almost 10 years ago, not because we wanted to but because we could not afford for both of us to smoke. We started vaping almost 4 years ago, when stress and cravings were making us really think about smoking again. Relatively basic equipment is working very well for us and our budget.

My daughter and I each have 4 Evod 650 mah batteries to switch out, and 2 Evod Glass tanks each. My daughter has my original Evod plastic tanks since hers died. When I replace tanks, I get the Evod Glass now anyway. I keep spare Evod 650 mah batteries on hand, along with a couple of extra chargers. We have also kept the cigalike setups that we were using before we got the Evods as emergency backups as well as something basic that we can give or loan to friends or family who want to try vaping.

I do plan to get a few extra Evod Glass when I can, just because accidents happen, and I do like to try to be sure we have enough of everything on hand.

My parents grew up during the Depression. I was raised on the philosophy that if you have the money, and the item will keep, stock up as much as you can when things are going for a good price.

I have a minimum of 3 in daily use, currently:
9mg unflavoured in a carto tank (usually for out and about)
6mg unflavoured in kabuki tank - use most of the time
0-1 mg very light flavour or dash of BiteXtra for after 9ish in the evening in an aerotank mega (with own coils)
I do sometimes add in extras e.g. a KFL or dripper.

I was raised on the philosophy that if you have the money, and the item will keep, stock up as much as you can when things are going for a good price.

This has also been my philosophy - but I am running out of cupboard space so may have to rethink soon.

A couple of provari 2.5s each with a nautilus fir when i go out / am driving.

I work from home all the time these days though, so i can use my drippers as much as i like:
1 provari 3 and kayfun lite usually with a 'tobaccoy' flavour. (I might use 1 of the travel mods when i'm home but i try and keep em full with fresh batts ready to go.)
1 hex ohm v2 with the stumpy. Alice in vapeland twas brillig this week
1 hex ohm v2.1 with hhv simple pear / trippy dips frums blood... Mix or alternating in a vector rda
1 hex ohm v2.1 with another vector and plumeroom.com candied cavendish

I really like having multiple flavours.. 1 or 2 tobacco, 1 or 2 fruit, 1 or 2 dessert.

I have these backups... couple of provari 2.5s, couple of sigelei minis, and couple of sigelei 150s. A second kayfun lite. A couple of subtank minis. And i did grab a couple of aqua v2 authentics that were on silly sale at 25 each, figure those are good and very inexpensive backups for the kayfuns.

I am considering a titan or other such mech as vapocalypse insurance, maybe one of those pretty clear glass kayfun style aerotanks... but asides from that i am hoping to be good.

You need two at the very least, so one charges while you use the other.

And then of course, you've already discovered how easy these things are to break... or malfunction in some way -- do you really want to give yourself any excuse to even think of buying cigarettes, nevermind smoking them? I don't. I told my husband early on, I'm going to have LOTS of vape gear, so I never have any excuse to even consider smoking -- to make vaping ALWAYS easier than going to get cigarettes. He's delighted with that state of affairs, no matter how much vape gear I acquire -- ANYTHING is better than smoking.

As for multiple tanks/attys... that's really up to however many flavors you want to use. And some flavors are VERY difficult to remove from an atty, once it's been in there.

Two is still better, because what if that one breaks? [ETA: gets lost, gets stolen, etc] Then it doesn't matter HOW MANY batteries you have, if you have nothing to put them in.

Backups for your backup's backup -- if you're really serious about vaping instead of smoking. If you're looking for an excuse to smoke... then sure, one is fine.

I have 5 setups daily I like having different flavors all favorites. I use vision spinner 1600mah batteries with an Aerotank or Genitank @ 1.8 ohm. Vision spinner 1100mah with protank 3. I made a simple holder so I can carry all my stuff easily from room to room. Also have a 20watt istick with a Genitank 1.8 ohms @ 8 watts. I have to have backup batteries and tanks in my Vape drawer.
You can go overboard buying/trying all the Vape gear that's available. I went down that road glad a stop sign was around the bend. I tried large RDA, kayfun, vamo, finally bottom feeders with. A REO grand, a peko v1.1 cyclone Atty. I had great hopes for my bottom feeders using small chamber atties, but I find I get the best flavor from my juices in the Genitank with Vision spinner batteries. Good Luck with your journey.

I switch up constantly, never taking more than 3-4 hits before grabbing another one.
* I never let a battery get warm/hot.
* Flavors are always fresh.

Right now, there are five PVs sitting beside my keyboard.

Does anyone here have just a couple of devices? It seems like most on here are collectors, which I can appreciate, but I'm not there, either budget wise or in desire (yet!).

I've trashed my first vape pen that I bought, and I do still have the second one as a just in case, but I really only use my Subox.

I started thinking about it because people were talking about changing flavors multiple times per day, while I tend to vape the tank and then switch out a flavor if I feel the need. I do keep a stronger flavor in the vape pen and will occasionally switch it up with that for a bit, but otherwise, I'm a one mod lady.

How many devices do you use regularly?

I'm currently using two istick30w with nautilus mini's with two different juices on a daily basis. Have GS air tanks and aspire cf battery at home if I want a third juice. Also some ego styles which haven't been used in a long time. Must have backups

Must be the influence of my Puritan ancestors, but I've kept it simple (well, relatively simple) ...

Four Ovale Elips-C units in rotation, two for home use and two always filled and charged for travel. Each has a 1 ml tank, so I can easily track my daily juice usage (juiceage ? ) ...

After dozens of juice trials, settled on Halo SubZero and Malibu ...

For out and about, four filled tanks in an old 510 case, and a fully charged PCC, with a charging cable in the car ...

And a trusty Ego with clearo for backup, one in the vape toolbox, and one in the glove compartment. I used to keep a couple of White Cloud disposables in the car, but kept giving them away, and they don't store well ...

Have to be especially careful on trips to the doctor in Mexico, not even disposables available in convenience stores ...

Never had a complete vape gear failure in over two years, but it could happen. Would I revert back to analogs ?

Hopefully not, my separation from tobacco is pretty firm at this point ...

When I first started vaping, I went overboard and purchased a lot of mods because everything seemed to be an upgrade in one way or another. Not to mention, the time I began vaping was the time new products were beginning to really heavily be pushed out. The day I started vaping, the idea of a 30W mod for under $300 was unheard of. I started off with a typical EGO battery and soon after purchased and fell in love with a Provari. A month or two down the road and I got my first box mod and haven't looked back.

Now that I've found the juice I plan on vaping for a very long time (8 months already), the mod hasn't necessarily been too important. I personally purchased the Black and Red Subox myself a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. I had the IPV3 topped with an Atlantis for a very long time prior to that but I got tired of charging my own batteries every night.

I think the best thing to do is simply save the money and wait until you fully understand everything that's going on and the different types of vaping styles. Once you get to that point, you should be able to feel confident in purchasing something you truly want, and for the right reasons.

One setup for me, I do have identical backups but only use one mod and atty day to day. And since I only vape one flavor it's no surprise that my gear is the same.

I currently have 3 devices, 2 rDNA40's and an eVic VTC Mini, all the others I have either sold or given away.

I use the eVic and one rDNA40 on a daily basis, I always have 2 setups with me at work. The other rDNA40 I have set aside as a replacement in case one of these two goes out. Unless something groundbreaking comes out, I don't see myself purchasing anything new any time soon.

I always have 2 in my pocket. One is to use in my office with menthol flavor because my colleague cannot smell it. Another is sub ohm for out of office vaping. I have one more spare at home just in case.

I think if the Fine Thread that is keeping someone from Smoking is an e-Cigarette, then they should have At Least 2 Complete Working Set-Ups.

I could not agree more.I found that out the hard way when i first started vaping.I had an ego,just 1 and it broke in my pocket right at the start of a 9 hour work day.That drove me to compulsion haha,i vowed to never be in that situation again,so now i have around 20 mech mods,and another 10 or so regulated mods,with enough tanks and rda's to last the rest of my life haha.

It is an interesting point, to have a backup for the backup. I have a backup, but I figure if one device goes, the backup will be sufficient until I can replace it. If nothing else, there are two good B&M shops within a few miles of my house that are open 7 days/week.

I can see having more tanks! Sometimes I get a little bored with my flavor, but don't want to waste it. Here lately, I've been taking a few vapes on my EMOW with a stronger flavor when that happens, but it is such a completely different device.

However good a setup is, there will always be some maintenance and/or changing of heads. I prefer to vape while I maintain. Not to mention - I don't always feel like maintaining my gear at the exact time maintenance is required. I'm sure gear has evolved (a lot) since I last used a clearo, but I'd rather not be without a vape while playing the replacement head lottery. It's what drove me to rebuildables in the first place.

Having a backup at hand may save money in the long run as you're less likely to run out and buy some overpriced something out of desperation.
