Where the corn grows tall
Just ordered 2 LR Atties for my ego.

Anyone else use em I am very curious as to if they will be better. I dont care about how long they last I just want more vapor in less time because I usally take around a 7 sec hit on my ego.

Thanks

I do hope you included an order for a number of extra batteries. You are going to need them...

lr attys step on your flavors big time, but give a great hit. Especially good with milkshake thick VG, they are little fog machines. It's everything about a perfectly firing atty, magnified. It may eat eGo batteries though, and they don't last as long. You need to experiment with your juices and lr attys. Some juice is suited for it, others not so much.

I too have read that LR atomizers reduce the ego-type battery life. And, have since stopped using them on my eGo-type and only use them on my 18650 mod. But, I used LRs on my eGo-type for months without any apparent premature battery failures before I read about the problem. Perhaps the batteries were damaged, who's to say? I'm still using them though, with regular 510s and mega cylinder atomizers.

I got 1.5 ohm LR and only used it for 2 days. I do not like the flavor of my juices on it. Lots of vapor and I didn't have to take long draws. The TH was too harsh for me, i had sore throat mid morning after vaping.
The ego dies much faster than usual. I usually get almost full day from 1 battery but those two days I need to swap in less than 7 hours.

I will try 2.0 ohms next. :)

Charlie: No question the LR atomizers will drain any battery (even a monster 18650) faster than a regular atomizer, it's black & white. The question here isn't whether or not your charge time will be shortened (that's a mathematical and demonstrative fact). The question is if the LRs shorten the service life of the battery, and make them FAIL prematurely. There's good evidence that they do, although my batteries survived a couple months of LR usage ... it is possible they were damaged in the process. The problem is the electronics in the battery, as I understand it, they're not designed for the current draw.

I'm not an electrical engineer, and don't play one on TV.

Killed 2, less than 1 month old Riva batts back to back using lr atty..I was grateful to have a backup batt... Won't be using lrs on any of my rivas or egos, not worth the hassle and money loss.
Make sure you have some back up batts if you're going to risk it...it's worth the peace of mind :).

Count me in as another person who has lost eGo batteries to LR atomizers. I killed a brand new 900mAh Joye eGo battery in under a week, from using an LR atty on it.

While it's true that some people have no problems, you can see from the responses that a LOT of people do. And you could potentially be out a lot of money.

You can buy a mod that can use batteries that can take the strain of an LR for less than what an eGo kit costs. It's worth it. Those eGo batteries are expensive, and there's no reason to flush your money down the toilet by using an atty that will probably either kill them, or shorten their lifespan dramatically.

3.7v mods can be had for fairly cheap. Look at the RoughStack, for $45. You can find box mods for even less. Look for protected batteries that put out 2.5 amps or higher. Then you can run your LR's without worry.

I now have 2 Rivas, (1 from LF and 1 I think is a Riva although sold as an ego from nhaler). I say i think a Riva because its got the gold band BUT blue weird LEDs at the end like an ecig. Anyway both of mine came with 1 510 and 1 LR atomizer. i use both. The LRs are better for me when i drip. The Riva are supposed to be 750 mAh.
Don't go by what I say tho. Mostly I use V4L's KR808s but really beginning to enjoy both.
