Some good choices there! I've loved Malty for a long time and I really enjoy VCV.
:toast:

Malty?? I swear they forgot to put flavoring in the one I tried. I can't blame it on lack of steeping - it was about three months old - but I got absolutely nothing out of it.

(To be fair, it has a devoted following. It could very well be my taste buds are at fault.)

It's known for being very subtle. I have said it is the closest thing to unflavored I have enjoyed. Slightly sweet and, well, malty. It's one I like when I am tired of my other flavors. Great VP, too.

I have the Wild Cherry and the Catherine the Grape from VCV. I like both, just wish there was a little more flavor to them. Have some dripping attys on the way, maybe the full flavor will come out that way.

That is so funny. To me, Catherine the Grape is a flavor bomb. Any more flavor and it would be overwhelming.

Might be me then. I have a serious case of vaper's tongue, and my taste buds are changing like crazy from the lack of analogs. I may have left the caps off my bottles for too long when steeping too.

Everyone is different....
I personally wouldn't steep VCV with the cap off. After I let in a little air and give it a good long shake, I put the cap back on the bottle and just tuck it away. Their is no alcohol in them that needs to evaporate, so there is no need to leave the cap off.

Congratulations on giving up the analogs!

Velvet Cloud vapor
Wild Cherries
Vanilla Custard
Peach Tea
I really like the peach tea-the peach comes through and it matches the description. The cherry and custard are alright but pretty subtle flavors, I expect they'll become more pronounced with some steep time. I was curious to try custard since I hear so much about custard vapes-this one is pretty subtle so far. The cherry is a nice natural cherry not like maraschino or candy. Really large clouds of vapor from all of them . They also sent me a 10ml free sample of both the peach tea and also white beard which was pretty nice of them (haven't tried white beard yet-I can't get the bottle open, lol). I have never ordered form anyone who was this generous with samples. I don't know why I waited so long to order from this vendor, I'll definitely do it again.

I think you are right that the VCV Vanilla Custard is subtle. It is pretty eggy and the vanilla is low key. I really like it that way though. If you want a vanilla bumb, try Custard's Last Stand from Nicoticket. His custard is more vanilla, less egg, and it's really delicious, too.

You should give VCV's Nightshift a try. Yum-mee!

If you love 50% of the juice you ordered then you're doing great. Taste is so subjective. Most of us ordered juice like crazy in the beginning to find an ALL DAY VAPE. Once you find one or two ADV's it becomes so blissful when getting your fix. For me it's Smooth Criminal from Ahlusion. If I had one juice only to vape, that would be the one for me.

Great reviews fly!!! I would have to agree-I love the intensity of Catherine the Grape!!! Havent tried the others you mentioned from VCV yet.

I currently have most of 503 liquids....and really enjoy their Purple Rain (Aptly named MN e liquid after Prince!) it has a light grape flavor that ends on a floral note.....something you either love or hate. The Cherry is nice-not cough syrup tasting at all but it is a strong liquid.

Just got the purple rain when i went there for coil building class, it's awesome! can you recommend any other florals? The jasmine from free state vapor is great too.

firephly: I am a complete Virgin Vapor fan and they have fantastic florals. My absolute favorite right now is "Hummingbird Fuel" (VVs newest flavor)..it smells like incense and the taste is hard to describe-hmm incense/sandalwood with a non sweet honey-ends with a floral note Absolutely awesome!

Other florals from there that I would recommend would be: "Bed of Roses"...they won awards with this one....Or for a nice twist-Lemon Rose water. (VVs "Night Blooming Jasmine" smells divine-and is a very strong flavor.)

I just looked it up (Hummingbird Fuel), ok now I'm super intrigued! The reviews I found said "a smooth honey flavor backed by some spicy floral tones", "Complex fascinating flavor!! I LOVE the smell of this one! It has a warm cozy spicy woods smell. Flavor: I taste something like sandalwood with a floral flavor and a hint of sweetness-honey perhaps? This is one of the most complex flavors I have tried so far from Virgin Vapor and think this is a winner!!!", <---I believe that review is yours that I found on another thread when I did a search. I'm a sucker for unusual sounding exotic mixtures.

I love the smell of sandlewood and "warm cozy spicy woods smell" and incense, I am going to have to try this. I have "Bed of Roses", it is one of the first things I ever ordered online and I got a 30ml bottle so I still have plenty left, I like it. It smells incredible. The flavor is like biting a rose petal, kind of bitter almost really. It's one of those that I only vape in small amounts, but I've been thinking of mixing it with something like a custard and seeing how that goes. Once I mixed some with Mad Mudock's "Maha Ras" and also diluted the mixture with some unflavored, that was pretty nice. I don't know if you've ever tired Maha Ras, but it smells kind of like incense also, and berries, and I don't really know what else. I'd love to know what is in Maha Ras, I haven't been able to figure it out.

I think I'd like to try mixing the rose with some vanilla or custard, and then adding something like cardamom or some other spice maybe?
I like to experiment with the stuff I have.

To me Cherry Blossom Tea from AIV is a very floral vape also. I was really surprised at that Jasmine I got, normally jasmine is a smell I like but only in small doses because it is just so sweet and strong and heavy, but Free State managed to make it so light and fresh! Free state also has a Hibiscus but it's sold out.

I'd love to try a lavender vape too, or ylang ylang. I think clover blossom would make an interesting vape too, I also think it might be interesting to vape something that smells like freshly mown grass (well I don't know how good that would taste though). I'd love to try some herbal vapes too.

I did a search for some more floral types:
Ylang Ylang - $5.20 : deejStuff eLiquid, The Apocalypse can wait...
VaporBomb | Ylang Ylang eJuice
VaporBomb | Lavender eJuice
this one sounds intriguing
Lotus Flower E-liquid
I haven't tried any of those vendors

There is a DIY flavor concentrate by flavorarts called "Zen Garden" that is described variously as tasting like fresh mild sage, pine, grass, rosemary, floral, etc. I think I must get that too! FlavourArt - Zen Garden 3ml Sampler

Sorry I just saw this post/your response!!!!! I have almost finished off my latest 30 ml bottle of Hummingbird Fuel already!!! And yes that was my review. I will be interested in seeing what you think of it if you order some.

I would love to find someone else who has the same taste in liquids to compare notes...you can kind of tell by what others mention as their favorites are as to whether their recommendations would be something you would like yourself-if that makes sense?

I need to go back and re visit my AIVs...I had ordered the big sampler and never really gave them the chance/attn they should have had. I know I reordered a bottle of quiet morning...and enjoy that.

Another vendor I am intrigued with has been Velvet Cloud Vapor. I will have to try Maha Ras now-thanks for the suggestion.

The only Lavender I have tried (I was pretty excited about trying it) was from Mt Baker....YUCK!!!! It was soooo unbelievably strong I could not get the taste out of my mouth! Scared to try Lavender again right now. I expected it to be light...Nope.

Lotus flower does sound intriguing!!!

I want to try making my own liquids here soon-just sounds like a big learning curve...thats on my to-do list along with learning rebuildable drip atomizers, and getting more of a handle on VV/Watts/ohms and the interaction. Need more time in my days

I've thought about starting a thread to try and find others who like what I like: high VG, natural tasting flavors, teas, fruits, floral's, occasional mild tobaccos, earthy herbal tasting blends, and malts. I guess that's my flavor profile so far. I've been thinking of trying a few of the bakery and sweet stuff too since that is something I've been skeptical about.

I need to go back and re visit my AIVs...I had ordered the big sampler and never really gave them the chance/attn they should have had. I know I reordered a bottle of quiet morning...and enjoy that. I have a sampler and a few larger bottles from them too and I have been letting them steep since they mostly seem to need that. In this cold climate the let them sit in the dark method didn't seem to be doing much so I put all my juice in a box and then set a piece of 1/2" plywood on the radiator and set the box on top for a day, just so they could get warm but not too warm, and it really worked! I tried some things that had almost no flavor and now the flavors are coming out. From AIV so far I like the 15 foot falls, all the teas, still need to revisit the rest though.

Another vendor I am intrigued with has been Velvet Cloud Vapor. I will have to try Maha Ras now-thanks for the suggestion.
Oh I think you'll love Velvet Cloud vapor! I recently got the peach tea, the custard, and the cherry. They are pretty mild so I am gonna do that radiator method again and shake them up real good, but so far they are really nice, natural tasting juice. They also sent me two free 10ml samples (another peach tea and white beard). The white beard is a kind of sweet tobacco which is pretty good as well-although I'd prefer it wasn't so sweet, I'm not a fan of caramel type tobacco.

The only Lavender I have tried (I was pretty excited about trying it) was from Mt Baker....YUCK!!!! It was soooo unbelievably strong I could not get the taste out of my mouth! Scared to try Lavender again right now. I expected it to be light...Nope.

I know how to build the coils now, but I haven't taken the the time to practice much yet, it really does bring out the flavor though, it's true.

The Druid's Brew - Bread of Heaven
Virgin vapor - Hummingbird Fuel
I'm curious about the buttercream mint, the pillow dreams, and the plumcrazy too

firephly: Who do you order the Maha Ras from?

Virgin Vapor: My favorites are: Hummingbird Fuel, Celestial Honeydew, Plum Crazy, Kona Coffee Milkshake (this one with a month + steep) and Butter Cream Mint. My better halfs ADV is Celestial Honeydew.

Oh! I don't know where my head is-but another REALLY good floral vape from VV is "Snakebite" I swear it has some Bed of Roses in it but with a complex mixture of others flavors that I wouldn't even know how to describe...maybe fruity?

The place you went for your class-is the company that got me started in Vaping 2+ years ago!!!

oops forgot the link eLiquid that's the only place he sells his stuff through

I made the liquid profile thread that i thought about http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...6-share-your-flavor-profile.html#post11582352

I'll probably get the plum crazy and buttercream mint too since I'm so into mints lately and interested in trying some sweeter things to see if i like them. someone's review said that the plum crazy is just like a real plum with the hint of bitter skin along with the sweetness.

Yeah the smokeless smoking store is new here, and i really like it because they are much more informative than the other places and unlike the other b & m's here, they actually have good juice too.
