After being a 7 year smoker, I've finally decided to give these a try. I'm light, I've never smoked more then 4-5 cigarettes a day (I can hear the laughter already, lol). But nobody knows I smoke. I don't like the whole "Holier then thou" attitude people get.
Anyways, After spending the day checking out the reviews, I've decided to purchase a DSE901, some strawberry juice, and some extra cartridges from puresmoker.com.
So we'll see, I love the idea of it and it's already got me scheming up some things, with my engineering mind churning up ideas on how to make "the better e-cig" Lol, we'll see if I come up with anything good.
I'll follow up after I get my package, i'm anxious to see and try.

I understand the light hiding smoker...that is what I was after I met my hubby over 15 years ago. The worst thing was by about 5pm for me I needed to "walk the dog" go to the store, go for a walk, see a friend to get my 4-8 cigs a day in. The nic craving would start around 4 pm.

So now I ecig vap. My hubby still isn't exactly sold on the idea, but I am buying all the models that come recommended to find my best match and plan to introduce them to my Mom-in-Law (3 pack a day smoker!)

I think the hubby has found more tolerance of my new obession with the anticapation of my converting his momma to a healthier way to get her nic fix.

I vap away in the house without even a complaint. I still don't blantly pick doing it in front of him, but I am not running around trying to hide the icky smell.

Just my own personal experience.

It's the reviews and overall positive feedback on this site that finally convinced me to make the jump. I'm disappointed by the overall lack of longevity with these (or percieved lack). However I think it's just a tradeoff that you get.
I'm a little OCD which sometimes mixes well with my creative mind, So I'm looking at how to create an e-cigerette using store bought parts and a little hand work to engineer something now. Though this is based on the knowledge of what i've read here and online.
Ya, i know I'm crazy, but it's what I do. :p

just recieved it. trying it out right now. so far results seem not so good. I popped in the marlboro cart and yuck. it's got this bad taste in my mouth. i don't know what it is but definately not pleasing. I think there was some fluid that leaked out. I foolishly didn't order a spare atomizer or some blank carts to go with my strawberry juice. I'll think of something. I definately feel it in the bqack of my throat, though it doesn't feel like a good feeling.

IMHO, The "classic pen styles" have a more gentle throat hit, I think due in part to the distance of the cart/filling from the actual heating element of the atomizer. Maybe it gives the vapor a little longer to "mellow out".
I don't like it - I like the throat-lung hit from my 901 from puresmoker, but if the 901 feels harsh to you, maybe you should try the pen-style. Also maybe give the atomizer a chance to burn off all the stock liquid and whatever that "primer" stuff might be.

I think we're all still experimenting here to find what suits us best. Personally, this thing has been a GODSEND to me - 30 cigs a day down to about 3, and I'm starting to hate the way the real ones taste.

Hope this helps - and don't give up, 'cause whatever's in these carts/liquid sure as h**l can't be any worse for you than the real things...

:D

well I took one of the carts, removed the filler and put some cotton ball in, and filled it with the strawberry. good. tastes like a strawberry hookah. not quite the flavor i expected, but it's good enough to smoke. i wonder if anyone has watermelon. :)
Right now the vapor is inconsistant. i probably need to charge the batts.
I figure That I can use the mini maglite i bought to provide power with very little modification.
So far I can't say i'm feeling the effects of the juice, i guess i need something stronger even though i'm used to smoking light cigs.

Hey Steph!

DON'T USE COTTON! Not sure what it may turn in to when it heats up! Could be toxic!

Taste is definitely something you are going to take time to like. Some people like it from the get go, some don't. Its the nature of the beast really.

Consistency will come with time! It normally takes new users a good 2-3 days to get good consistent hits on each puff. Experiment with long slow draws, the strength of the actual sucking/inhale, etc... Its a technique that is easily learned by some, while others have some issues sometimes!

Hope this helps!
