So I just decided to take the plunge...I am so done with smelling like an ashtray all the time. I admit, I do have my apprehensions because both my sister and a good friend tried the e-cig and did not enjoy them...but at the same time, they are not me...

I had the hardest time deciding which e-cig to go with. A co-worker allowed me to try his V2 carto unit the other day and I love the simplicity of the cartomizer...and looking into it the Bloog Maxxfusion seemed like a logical choice. But as hard as I tried I just couldn't justify going in for a hundred bucks on the thing. Most likely it will be my next purchase after my "breaking in" period.

After much thought I decided to start out with the 510-T kit from Cignot. Amazingly it has already shipped and I just ordered it around 1 PM EDT. I can't wait to get it and start experimenting with some juice.

So anyway...this is my first post on the board (of many I'm sure) and I'm excited to become part of a community such as this. I just wanted to say hi - and thanks to everyone who posts all the helpful information on this board!

The 510-T is a very good e-cig but tanks can be a bit tricky at first don't get discouraged. You may want to order some cartomizers to try if you have too much trouble with the tank. Just don't give up if you have trouble early. PVs take some getting used to but once you have them working right they are much more enjoyable than cigarettes.

Welcome and enjoy. Order some carts and experiment with all the flavors you can. Nothing says you can't still switch between the tank and some carts. Once you find a flavor(s) you like, I can guarantee you will be hooked. I started with a nuvo about a month and a half ago and now have an ego-t, roughstack and built my own box mod along with over a dozen flavors. The best part is that it is still cheaper than buying cigarettes.

Definitely order some cartos too. The tanks are new and people have mixed results with them. Buy some Boge 510 soft-cap cartos (standard resistance on a slim 510, not LR or HV). That's what I use on 510s and most people like them best on 510. And while you are there, pick up a drip tip. You can use it to test juices on the atty or as a mouthpiece on the carto.
510 Blank Cartomizers

Boge cartos... pop the cap carefully by sticking an unbent paperclip in just far enough to pop it - don't catch stuffing or wire. Hold a bit of tissue on the threaded end, hold it at an angle and drip juice in (at least 16-18 drops into the stuffing on first fill of a blank). Clean up the threaded end, blow into the threaded end with open end down into tissue to clear the air channel. Sop up any loose juice above the stuffing and recap. On the first fill now let it lay on different sides for 15-20 minutes (more if your juice is thicker or has more VG than than 70pg/30vg). The waiting will help make sure every bit of stuffing is damp so you won't singe the stuffing and ruin the taste. When vaping, if the vapor get light or a bit dry, take the carto off the battery and add a bit of liquid - however much it wants, clean up, blow out, recap and use.

BTW - if your battery is automatic then be extremely careful that a carto is not going to drip before putting it back on the battery. Drips on the threaded end hole can damage or kill an auto battery.

Juice is really the key. Finding a great juice that you like. Cignot is an excellent vendor, you made a great decision purchasing from there. The eccopure juice carried by cignot is supposed to be an excellent quality juice. It is more expensive than other juice, but it's supposed to be good. Never tried it.

You're in PA- Backwoods Brew has excellent high quality juice as well.

Good luck!

Wow you guys are seriously awesome, thank you for all of the advice!

The tank thing did kind of made me nervous but reading all of the threads put me a bit more at ease with it. I am definitely going to pick up some cartos and a sampler pack of juice...I've been browsing blue mist vaping and their prices and selection are darn impressive.

With all of the info and helpful people on here I know the transition will be smooth...I can't wait to get started!
