So, I just bought a vmod of the classifieds, looking for decent atomizers. I was always been a fan of dual coil carts, before moving up to rbas. Got a few questions I figure you guys could answer.
It is a version 2, meaning it will take anything 510, So would any 510 dripping atty work?

Not really wanting to drop 20 bucks on attys, so will THIS work?
Also, any battery combo that will allow me to kick this thing? I do prefer higher voltage and higher ohms, but 1.5 duals will do at 3.7 if it is a must for this thing.

Making a venture into bottom feed means using plain old atomizers, no cheap (Clone)rbas that will work that I know of.

Any standard unsealed 510 atty or carto should work, however some work much better than others. I have had my 2.0 for a couple of months now and have tried a handfull of different attys/cartos. For my tastes, a cisco 306 at 1.8, or the vapage attys at 1.5 are the way to go. They do require a few mls to break in, but everything else pales in comparison when the are up and running. Also the life span is incredible with both.

Congrats on the purchase too! It has quickly become my favorite go to vape when i leave the house.

Thanks for the reply! I just broke out a carto after quite a while of using mostly genesis and dripping atomizers and realized I hate the taste of filler now, so the dual coil smok is what I will try out fist, 6 bucks is pretty cheap. Followed by the cisco 306, I think I found it for around 10 bucks somewhere. Then if I really like the bottom feeder go for a 357. I just know that if I cant kick it, or build a really low ohm atty for it i prefer dual coils. Not really sure why. If I understand correctly 1.5 duals is actually 2, 3 ohm coils. So actually higher ohms should be better, but it isn't for me? Granted 1.5 duals take a second to warm up at 3.7 -4.0 volts, they just seem to taste better and give me more vapor than a 2.5 or 3.0 ohm coil. My perfect vape is around .6 or so ohms on a mechanical wrapped around some mesh

If you have the 2.0 (14500 batt), there's not enough room to get a Kick in there. If it is the XL (18650), then you're in luck. A Kick can be installed with minor modifications.

You seem to like a warmer vape, so dual coils are going to disappoint. The voltage is spread across alot of real estate, so they don't really get hot. They do have signifcantly greater surface area, tho, so vapor is fuller.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Vapage 510 atties. Some say they are as good as the HH357.

I like the dual coil atomizers, myself. They don't do to well with the Vmod, tho, for some reason. I dissected one and it has 2 coils stacked in separate ceramic cups. Airflow and juiceflow are channelled through tiny little holes in the bottom of each cup. Seems like it should work. It does mostly, but you have to teach yourself to draw the liquid up, all the way.

Well the guy I got the vmod from said if I wanted he may be willing to part with his XL and I may try to get it, the idea of not being able to kick it stinks, I can just make the thing fit Rbas though, go down to low low res coils and get my 11 watts that way LOL. I am glad that after starting to build attys I have found that a 3.7 volt battery can do what I want it to do, I just have to be willing to take the time to make a low enough ohm coil. Looked around, bottom feed RBAs aren't exactly everywhere though. Really really excited to try this thing out when it comes. Bottom feed is the only venture into vaping I have yet to make.

I'm with ya on bottomfed. I actually built my own aluminum VW (DNA 12) bottomfed with 18650 for all-day, rough-and-tumble use. I used the A7 on it almost exclusively, but within the last couple weeks was able to mod a shorter BF RBA from a Phoenix dripper top (disassembled top/cut shorter/removed side hole). The Pheonix is threaded the same as eGo, so I drilled air inlet holes in the 510 end of a 510-eGo adapter. I screwed a Vivi head into the adapter and covered it with the modded Phoenix. It's less than 1" without DT.

Sorry, I got off-track. I actually got broke-in on bottomfeeders with my Vmod XL. I modded it for use with the Kick. I basically disabled it when I was modding it for the DNA 12 for use with 18650. Yes, that can be done with the XL, too. Unfortunately, the circuit failed and I was forced to trash the chassis. I could do it again, tho.

Sounds like a nice mod you made there. Ive got a few junk box mods that are vv/ vw laying around that just may be turned into bottom feed if I like the 2.0. Sad that I would consider trashing an mvp with less that 1000 puffs on the counter for this LOL! But its casing with a bit of modification would be awesome I think. Drill the top cap, relocate button, smaller battery, punch hole in the side of it for a bottle, then just take the atty connection out of the vmod and swap them out.....Dang, as I type that out it sounds like a bunch of work LOL. Basically using the itaste MVP as a box and the chip. But in theory, after making the changes I would still have 2 mods. Even if bottom feeding ends up not being my thing, I have always loved the look of the vmod, from day one.

Here she is. The atty is not the A7 or Phoenix-mod. It's an RCA jack RBA.

There's a how-to in the Atomizer Mods section. Basically, you gut an RCA jack with threaded barrel, solder a 510 connector on bottom and install your atty. I actually used a CE2 ceramic cup with NR posts.

If I can find it, I'll send you some pics. Be sure to look at the thread I mentioned. It's very easy to build with a Dremel and soldering iron.

Hi. I've just discovered the IGO L and IGO S rebuildable attys. IGO-S RBA - Kidney Puncher

I figure a bottom fed IGO S would be pretty awesome. Is there any way it could be (easily) modded?

Easily is subjective. I guess the center pin could be removed and drilled or replaced with an open pin. After that the positive leg of the coil would need to find a mount. I could spend a day with that atty and possibly work it into a BF, but it could turn into a nightmare, too.

Doug, that mod looks badass. Perhaps you can post a pic of the internals and what the inside of that RCA jack RBA looks like. Mcguyver ain't got nothin on you bro.
