So I just received my new E-Power 14650 starter kit and while my batteries are charging, I feel like I should get a few questions answered so I can go right to vaping this thing (I'm so excited! :D). First of all, what's the preferred method of filling the cartridges... and how/how much? This is my first step up from a KR808D-1 and I'm completely clueless. I ordered several syringes and dull needles along with the kit, so that is always an option... Also, I received a few anodized drip tips. Does anyone use these with the E-power or a similar model? Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you filling cartomizers? I leave the condom on the threaded end, drip 3 or 4 drops down the walls of the carto (avoid the middle) thermometer shake and repeat. You want to leave the condom on the bottom so you don't fling juice everywhere. If it looks real slushy on top when you finish put a little tissue in to soak up the excess. Take the condom off the bottom. Hold a tissue under the threaded part and blow a little through. You should see light down the middle. Here's Dr. Vaper doing the condom method. I prefer the thermometer shake but many like this one too:

to fill your carts, drip like 10 or so drops, let it soak up, drip a few more drops, let it soak up more, ect... when it starts to look like a slushie , your cart is full... take a paper towel, and just dab the excess juice, then take the juice bottle and drip 3-5 drops inside the atty on the mesh bridge....you can use the drip tips on almost any carto or atty .. :)

I'm doing something wrong. :\ I start getting that burnt marshmallow taste after just a few quick puffs. Sounds like more research is necessary,

Burnt taste off the bat typically means you don't have enough liquid in the cart plus you really should prime the atomizer. Put 3 drops of liquid right on the mesh of the atty as if you were dripping. The cart should be moist but not pooling.

@ wv2win, thank you for your suggestion! That helped instantly. I think the 14650 batts look bigger to me because they're protected.

14650's are bigger (longer) by 15 mm. 14500's are AA size, but different voltage, for use in e-cigs. But that's a hijack/digression. You have the correct battery.

I'm confused. Are you using
1) an atomizer with a cart or
2) a cartomizer filled using syringes?

This... (priming the atty):

Sounds like a win (pun intended). Did you get it working OK now? Did you remember to blow the nasty primer out 1st?

Hi SummerDawn, i'm always curious whats a 14650 battery. Is it AA or AAA battery?

As stated, it's neither.

The first 2 digits indicate the diameter of the battery. In this case, 14mm or a shade over 1/2".

The next 2 indicate the length of the battery. Here it's 65mm or roughly 2.5".

The last digit I believe indicates it is a single cell battery. But don't quote me on that.

Makes sense to me! Knew they looked larger than AA's. Not that I would ever think of using an unprotected store-bought batt with one of my PV's, but I digress.

I am using an atty and a cart. No cartos on this one yet for me. Although I might invest in some for the Roughstack I'm ordering. I was looking for some suggestions on filling them, and I ordered some syringes because I had heard they were an easy way to fill the carts.

It's working just fine now. I did not blow out the primer on the first atty. @_@ But I did so with the second after reading that. Thank you so much.
