Just received my new KGO

Just received my new stainless steel KGO and love the menthol flavor. Tried the regular flavor tobacco and it was ok, not really bad at all. Can't wait to try a few more flavors.

Here is what I have found so far: I actually like the standard atomizer better than the LR atomizer; it has more flavor delivery.

I do have a question though; I got the clear tank cartridges and really do like seeing how much juice I've got in it. I did find that after puffing on it for a bit that I get a small amount of the fluid in my mouth, like it bubbles up into my mouth. Should I get a better cartridge or am I doing something wrong that causes that?

I must have misread the info, I thought it was a 5-click on the manual button to turn on and off the battery but it doesn't seem to be the case. I got it from Breeze Smokes. Not complaining, it is a 5 second cut-off and it seems I don't need to go past that 5 seconds. I let it warm up for about 1 second and then puff and get great throat it, taste, nicotine intake and also vapor.

I love my new KGO, it's awesome. Only have my built in webcam and the pictures aren't great with it but will try to get some pics of my new KGO soon to share with ya'll.

Ok, which vendors listed with the forum are the best for sample flavors of juice. I want to get a good amount of flavors to try so that I can pick out different ones. I do like this "Minty Menthol" and want to try others but don't want to spend a fortune or get too much juice, in case I do not like it.

My exwife will be joining the forum soon to learn what she can and pick out her next e-cigg. :) she is going to try out mine to see what she thinks of it as well. I think she can do with any 510 compatible type and that way we can get bulk cartridges to save money and maybe find some juices we both like and get bulk in that too to also save money. The more we save over ciggs besides being able to breath and not cough all the time and risk our health from smoking the better.:vapor:

I'm so glad you like your KGO!

Are these the clear cartridges you got?
BreezEsmokes - Premium Electronic Cigarettes

While good and especially good for testing out juices, I found them to be a bit inconsistant. I have better luck with the boge 2.0 the 1.7 cartos at CCV or dual coil cartos which you can certainly use on your KGO. Althought if you don't like the LR atty, you may like boge 3.0 SR cartos.

I'm not sure about the shut off on the battery. To be honest, I don't think I've ever used that feature. But I'm email him. I've purchased from him before and he's a great supplier.

What flavors of juice are you thinking about trying? Tobacco or sweet or fruity type flavors?

Really - Kgo has a 5-second cutoff? Very surprising. Maybe some other Kgo owners would know if they all do.

Some of my KR808d-1 manuals have a 5-second cutoff and I know what you mean. Even 1-2 more seconds would help so I could press 2 seconds early and still have 4-5 seconds for drag.

My big battery model is a Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.com (they have new stock from the right manufacturer so their Riva 510 kits and the Riva 510 SE batteries are 3.7v). Lemme see if I can figure out the cutoff... Seems to be at least 10 seconds or no cutoff.

I'm seriously thinking of picking up one of these. Anyhoo, about e-juice I'm fairly new into my own adventure (2 weeks!) but there are some really great vendors out there. It really depends on what your tastes are (as swedishfish asked). I've tried avejuice, vaperite and just got some in from vapealicious just today. I have a sweet tooth though :p

As for prices I've heard BlueMist Vaping has great prices and they have a huge selection of flavors.

First juice flavors: I'm gonna stick with menthol tobacco flavor and have no other. I may try other versions of it from other suppliers, that way get all my juice from one dealer. Other flavors, I was looking into chocolate types, sweet types and maybe some fruit types but prefer sweet fruits more than just regular fruits. I've tried a kiwi from someone elses locally, though I didn't like the unit they have much, the kiwi didn't taste good to me.

He does seem to be a great supplier that's why I think I misread the information. No matter really about it; with the 24mg minty menthol I really don't go over that 5 seconds anyways. I haven't tried to have it go over the 5 seconds, only going by the information booklet that came with the setup.

Yes, the cartridges are the clear tank cartidges - clear or see through, and yes the ones you linked to. I guess that may be it, the inconsistency and I thought I saw someone else post they leak for them and think maybe that's what it is. I'll try other cartridges after awhile to see if that's what it is; perhaps when I get the juice. It would be nice to get cartridges from same dealer as the juice so when I do need to get new ones I can get it all at once.

The LR Atomizers have a better amount of warmth in the vapor but they seem to tone down the flavor a bit for me. I am using the standard atomizer that came with the setup and they are perfect. I may try the boge 2.0, I've "heard" others saying good things about them in other posts and also in the chat.

I guess now, I'm fine tuning my unit.

Cartomizers are much better. I'd definitely get some but save them for when you find a juice you really like. The issue with cartos is that once you fill it with a juice- and big cartos hold A LOT of juice- you're committed to that flavor.

If you hit on a flavor you like fill up a carto. For testing juices use the cleart carts you purchased or just drip on your atomizer.

Don't go too crazy with juice at first. First, your tastes are still changing. You hear people saying they can't taste a juice? That's what it's like when you first start and until you're off cigs for a bit. You can't taste much except the heavy duty flavors. Then you'll try a juice you hate and in a month when your taste buds come back to life you may really like them.

My favorite juice is Nuport nhale/xhale from Nhaler. That's my all day vape. Kick Bass has good sweet juices but they only sell juice on Tue & Friday evenings.

I tested out the cutoff. It's only listed in the user manual and I think it was written when the batteries came from Europe and had the 5-second cut off. It does not cut off after 5 seconds. In fact, I went a full 10 seconds depressing the button and it still did not cut-off; after 15 seconds, the atomizer began to smoke a little so I stopped pressing the button.

I'm not sure about the 5 click, thought I read it in the info from Breeze Smokes but it's not saying it in the kit information. I think the kit has the older batteries without the 5 click on/off and the other batteries that can be bought seperate do have that feature.

I'm not worried about it. After using the KGO at work, I found I do like the LR better. It gives me a quicker and warmer hit and I don't have time to do long drags so it really is fine even if it did cut off after 5 seconds. I am able to get 2 to 3 hits while I'm working and with the LR atomizer, it takes only about 2 to 3 seconds per hit. It satifies me for the most part.

Ordered more juices earlier last week (Thursday morning ordered the 3 ml sample "kit" from Blue Mist and Friday morning I ordered 3 10ml juices from another supplier - will have to look it up in my email later). Once I find a juice I like, and possibly after Christmas, I will be getting some cartomizers. I think I will just get the single coil LRs and see how that works first.

Does anyone know about the cone cover (labeled as atomizer covers - just looks like the cones) in use with the cartomizers? I would like to know if they still can be used or not. When I'm at work, they have been a great help in keeping my fingers from touching a hot atomizer by accident. I do not know if long use (like chain vaping) will heat up the cartomizers and would want to ensure to keep my fingers from touching anything hot. I usually wear plastic gloves since I do cleaning in a restaurant kitchen and they do melt with low heat. I wear them to keep my hands from touching yucky trash or from cross contamination of cleaned surfaces and such.

Also, I'm not sure how many posts I have made but would like to know if anyone knows of a banner listing the KGO to show how long I've been using it and of course saving and cigs avoided. I know you can just click on a banner and fill in your own info and such and I've seen one for another type of e-cigg which is great but want a KGO signature banner when I am able to use the signature.

Thanks everyone for the advice and answers to my questions. I love this forum; really does help me out.
