Hi all,
Guess I should give a little insight as to what I'm doing here. well, I was a smoker about 8 months ago, and walking around my neighborhood a stumbled upon a little shop called LaVapeShop, curiosity got the best of me and I stepped inside.
The guys there were nice and explained some of their products but I enjoyed smoking and wasn't really thinking about quitting, however the guy that had been showing me the products said "well, you don't need to quit but maybe you could diminish simply by smoking outside and when your inside using one of these, I have something here I was making for a promo at a club but the guy never closed the deal so I'll sell you one for 10$" and that is how I got my first v3 vapors kr-808.
I took it home and by the end of the night I noticed that instead of having smoked half a pack, I had only smoked 3, that was enough to convince me that this was a product I could get behind. And so the next day I wen back and actually got another one and an MVP2. I loved the MVP2 and used it at home religiously while carrying the 808s with me to work.
However after 2 weeks I really started to be bothered by the difference in Flavor from 808 when compared to my MVP2 so I wen back to the store and this time got a kit with 2 V3 Ego-Spinners and they have become my staple when at work even to this day.
However my infatuation with vappng didn't stop there, I started gettign in to the different tanks and how the atomizers work in each, The first tanks I had were iClear 30 and I liked them quite a bit, later on the guys at the shop showed me a few Aspire BDC nova tanks with the BDC heads, I tried them out and found that they were most often better then my iClear 30 however I would get a bad head once in a while.
Then the Nautilus came out and oh Boy! I got myself 2 of them, keeping some Philosopherstone in one and cycling whatever other high quality juice I fancied in the other (My other tanks still being cycled in for other less expansive juices.
But I couldn't stop there, after contemplating it for a While, I finally worked up the courage to go buy myslf a good Mod, I was set on a Hybrid: the Valkyrie, however I made up my mind a bit to late and when I got back to the shop a week after seeing it to make my purchase, I was disappointed to find out they had sold the last one.
Well, I mulled it over in my head for a couple days but the day I had went to make my purchase there had been this other beautiful Mod in the display and one of the guys I talk to quite a lot in the shop was using this one, I went back once more and talk to him to get his impressions on it. After talking to him about it, I made up my mind and Purchased my first Mod: a Stingray X.
Thing is I still didn't have an atomizer as this was not a hybrid, and since my budget was spent, I had to wait another week, but on the next pay I went back to my shop and purchased 3 VTC5 batteries and a Copper Quasar atty.
I had been doing my research on batteries, resistance and amp draw and found the Vapper's Toolbox app, I made my first dual coil with some 26 gauge A1 kanthal: 6 wraps at 3.5mm for a 0.6 Ohm resistance and I was proud. that was a week and a half ago. Last weekend I twisted some 26 gauge A1 Kanthal and made a dual coil with 10 wraps at 2.5mm for a 0.5 Ohm resistance, Thing is obviously because of the amount of wire these coils take a long time to heat up but the coverage allows for a lot of juice and I think I'm getting pretty good flavor out of it but it is a guzzler build and the amp draw is quite a bit higer meaning my batteries don't last as long.
Anyways all this to come to the original point I wanted to make: Thank you Scott P for making that awesome Vapper's Toolbox app! I love it and it has helped me out getting in to the RDA world,.I have one small request, I would love to see some Twisted gauge options in there as well as I'm not the biggest math person and would love to be able to select the exact wire I'm using instead of estimating what twisting a certain gauge wire will end up being in terms of normal wires (since they are the only ones currently supported in the app).
I know it's a long read but as my first post, I wanted to get a lot of things out there.
Till next time!
