I've seen at least 3 different TV ads for ecigs in the last 6 months or so. One is pretty corny and its about 'give a friend an E-lite (or whatever company it was for).

I've noticed a lot of chemists are now stocking ecigs too, which is suprising as you would expect chemists only to be able to sell proven tested products, which at this stage ecigs are not, even though we all know they are better for us than fags.

I should have clarified in my first post. These are not cig-a-likes. The advert was for refillables and liquids. I'm going to keep an eye on it, see if it gets stamped on.

That's good news, the market must really be growing if companies can afford ads for liquids, etc. More people out there to speak out against any regulations :)

As for the chemist ones, I can't recall which one, but whatever it was, plus the Intellicig, which is also sold in chemists apparently, only have a very limited choice for flavour/strength. I did wonder if this is the beginning of government backed approval of certain types before they impose any restrictions in the future.
Perhaps it's just my suspicious mind though!

I've seen a few of the e-cig small type companies producing liquid and clearomisers, and some have larger batteries too. They must be claiming a slice of that section of the market.
V2 is one such company and Vapertrails, Tablites, Mirage, Ecigwizard, Evape, Liberty flights etc. are some others.

It's good to see adverts. I approve.

The only one the p***** me off, was for a brand that charges (£3.99) $6.70 per cartomizer. One cartomizer is "40" cigarettes. The brand is a disgraceful rip-off.

They know who they are. We know who they are. I know hundreds of smokers who have bought the product and failed to stop smoking.

Their name is synonymous with UK e-cigs, and that is desperately unsatisfactory. It mean people will try Vaping and presume it's no good.
They are laughing though, as the directors are multi-millionaires selling a very, very poor product. One of the worst, actually.

I just went for a look around: I take it you mean the one selling 2 'refills' for £7.99 ? (and if not, it's another one!) That's a dreadful price to charge!

I like to see ads for e-cigs too!

and these are the ones that the Big Tobacco are buying up to try and raise their profits again, and also put a stop to true vapers equipment, so that they can control the market.

I'm gobsmacked. I never thought e-cig adverts would ever be shown on the television. But it's just happened on ITV+1, so an hour ago on ITV. VIP Cig.

Anyone else see it?

With all the plethora surrounding e-cig and all the bad info I AM glad it's happening.

Bloody hell have you been living in a cave. Only kidding but they have been airing Ad`s for months now.

Yeah I've seen a couple of these ads in UK too - I think the move to TV advertising is a sign of how the bigger ecig companies are doing their best to corner the high street market and move ecig sales away from online sales alone. Trouble is of course that big ad campaigns that fuel sales from high street stores don't come cheap, which I guess is partly why ecig or eliquid you buy from a bricks and mortar store costs considerably more than the same kind of thing online.
