Liberty Flights ships from Calif.

I was going to say I'm still using my original Joye batteries but one died today. They are almost 7 months old and I have been using the dual coils on them so I'm pretty happy with them.

I had to replace one Riva battery and a Joye pass through both under warranty. LF shipped them out before I even had to return the defective batteries.

I have the Joye ego, my Mom has the Riva. Both are great. When I purchased my kit I got the Joye because at the time it had a 6 month warranty on batteries so it was worth the $10 extra to me at the time. Now I think they both have a 2 month warranty. The only real difference that I can tell between the two batteries is the Riva has a soft button and a gold band and the Joye has a hard button and a silver band. Both are good.

As swedishfish said, the ego and riva 510 are virtually identical, so anything that'll fit one will fit the other. Again, I don't know if my problem stemmed from a bad production batch or if the 5-click batteries are extra sensitive (and therefore extra fragile), I was just saying from my experience, I'd go riva every single time -both for durability and a better vape.

    in a cave, eh?
Generally, the eGo batteries are more reliable. The 5-click feature is unique to eGo-T batteries.

The Riva 510 system is still a good system to start with. And if you want to try Ego tank atomizers (I prefer the low-resistance atomizers), they'll work on the Riva 510 batteries.

If you're looking to accessorize your kit, eGo has a passthrough battery (charges via USB and you can vape while charging) so you can compare the 2 systems.

my vote its for the ego-t with 1000 mah passthru, and get a low resistence and standard resistence atomizers to see which one suits yer throat hit and flavor needs.btw all the ego style batteries seem to work the same, the resistence is whats gonna change the flavor and the amount of vapor production..good luck with whatever u choose

Well, its official! I placed my order earlier from Liberty Flight for an eGo-T Kit and some juice (Cappacino, Clove Black [mmmmmm], and Highway Tobacco)! I'm so stoked!!!! I can't wait!!! I'll see how the tanks work for me and see what flavors I like and then get a few of the EMDCC's from Mad Vapes when I make up my mind.

This nJoy is driving me nuts! I want my eGo!!! I wish there were local dealers.

    Well... thanks all!

My eGo-T kit order was placed earlier today like I mentioned. Then I spent a few more hours reading through the forum and various vendor sites. Then I came across Mindfield's post in another thread talking about the Chocolate Mint from MadVapes and I had to have it. So... $20 later in various other accessories I placed my order with MadVapes.

    I'm now expecting 5mL of Chocolate Mint, a 5 pack of 510 cartos, two EMDCC's, a 5mL syringe, a 18 ga needle, and a 20 ga needle.

So now my starter kit consists of an eGo-T kit, 4 flavors of juice, 5 cartos, 2 EMDCC's, and syringe stuff. LoL I hope that's all I'll need for a while.

Just a quick question... The eGo-T kit doesn't come with a cart cone because the tank atty I guess is a cone. And the reason the standard eGo kit comes with a cone is because there is a thinner/longer atty/cart. So since the 510 carto is shorter than the eGo atty/carto I won't be able to and don't need to buy an atty cone right?

Here's a tip for getting the top off of an eGo-T tank cartridge : Use an 1/8" headphone jack (like an ipod would take). It fits perfectly into the whole, so you can pop the top right off. You can also use a nail or something like that. No fingernails required.

Or just order some silicone caps. Much easier to remove. :)

More or less, yes. The Type A tank atty is its own cone, it slips right over the eGo connector. The Type B tank is a cylinder (like the regular Mega atomizers). The cone is just for 510 atomizers/cartomizers so that it covers up the eGo threads. But if you're getting EMDCCs you really don't need one. It's good to have in case you pick up some regular dual coils though -- you never know, even though the EMDCCs are really kind of the last word in eGo cartomiers. (Or just about any cartos, really, with the possible exception of the 2.5ohm XXXL clear dual coils for HV vaping.)

There is a groove on either side of the tank. You just get your thumb in the groove, under the cap, and you should be able to pop it. And when the leaking starts, you go get yourself some silicone caps. :)

True enough. I had no trouble with the plastic caps, but when I ordered some carts that came with silicone caps, I liked them much better. It didn't make the tank system work any better for me, and the holes were fussy to puncture, but at least it made the caps easier to deal with. :)

Thanks for clearing that up! What I had in mind was using the tanks to try new juices out because they're easily cleanable, using the regular 510 cartos for juices I deem "nice once in a while", and the EMDCC's for my everyday/all-day vape.

Where I was confused was when I saw a side by side picture of an eGo atty/cart combo and a 510 carto. The 510 carto was significantly shorter than the eGo atty/cart combo so I was concerned the cone would be too long and my lips would be resting on the the cone and not the carto. I thought I had seen that on a video review somewhere too.

There are some pretty short cartos out there, certainly, but I don't think any of them are quite short enough not to clear the end of the cone. Maybe come close, perhaps. But you can always remove the cone. I never use them anyway, even on my regular dual coils. It may look a tad ghetto -- like car with no hubcaps -- but it's easier to deal with. :)

I thought maybe somebody was confused about using cartomizers on an eGo-T and comparing the size to an Ego tank atomizer.

I do find that with a 306 LR atomizer and drip tip, it's nice to have a shorty 510 extender to give the drip tip a little more clearance over the eGo cone. The 306 LR runs pretty hot, so the cone is nice to have there.
