Maybe I'm not your typical 'New Member'. I'm a busy guy and a long-time lurker. These forums have been a great resource.

I have been using a 306 atty on a Riva for about a year. Today I recieved my ProVari and I'm loving it.

I also started purchasing only Halo e-liquid about a year ago. I got hooked on Captain Jack, a harsh, dry tobacco blend with a reckless throat-hit and a smoky taste. Reminds me of smoking unfiltered cigs or a cigar.

Now, I want to move away from Captain Jack to similar blends. I want more of the same; flavorful is good, but sweetness is a turn-off.

I've been hooked on Halo so long I don't know where to start. That's why I'm reaching out to the members of this board for some solid advice. Anyone got a favorite blend that will serve as a good alternate to Captain Jack?

P.S. - Hope I don't get flamed, as I'm sure this info exists somewhere already. But hey, I wanted to brag about my new ProVari too.

Welcome lurker , but there are far too many juices out there , and taste is totally subjective . You like Capt. Jack , I don't so someone else trying to recommend a juice is sorta impossible . First I guess is to decide what type ?? Tobacco , coffee , fruit , or whatever . Then try a couple of the forum approved vendors and try out a few of their samples , usually only 3 mil. and pretty cheap . Then you might have a better idea of what you want to go to next . Although I do like Halo's Torque56 , and the Tribeca is not bad either . Good luck in your search . And if you don't have any luck , you can always go the DIY route . Make your juice to exactly suit you . and it's actually cheaper .

After doing my homework, I've decided I'm going to try a host of flavors and post reviews. Strong throat hit is a must for me, so if you've tried any of these and we're not pleased with the throat hit, let me know so I won't waste my time.

Also, let me know if there's any other flavors I should pick up while shopping from these vendors. Happy vaping!

Mom and Pop Vapor Shop - Atomic Cinnicide, Kretek
Backwoods Brew - Maple Tobacco, Applewood
Vermillion River - Kentucky Premium Blend
Alien Vision - Boba's Bounty
Nitelite Vapors - Bounty Hunter
Johnson's Creek - Original Smoke Juice
Dekang - Tab, Gold & Silver
Quicknic - Enigma, Citrus Punch
Mountain Oak Vapors - Tennessee Original

Applewood from BWB is a mild throat hit. The flavor is a great apple taste, though. If you are looking for "reckless throat hit" as you posted, it won't be there. Still, it's one of my top ten for flavor.

Hunter's Blend from BWB is a favorite among TH lovers. Dekang DK-TAB is another. Most of the USA Red juices are also good for throat hit. My recommendation would be to buy tobacco flavor samplers and try them. That's a one time expenditure for small bottles that will get you where you want to go.

Madvapes has a good sized number of sampler collections that you might want to look into. There are samplers all over the vendor sites.

Check out Electronic Cigarettes & Accessories | Awesome Vapor. Arno and Amanda are right up the road from you in Cummings, GA. The juice is good (all PG) and the service is great. In Macon, I get next day delivery most of the time if I get my order in early in the day. They also sell a line of organic juices from Todd at Vaperite.
