It's been a bloody awful year in general for me but I'm pleased to say the vaping's gone well :D

This time last year I was just getting curious about e-cigs and starting to browse ECF. My initial reason for switching was predominantly the cost of smoking - I really enjoyed smoking and despite the health risks, really didn't want to give it up. I'd switched from smoking Marlboros to roll-ups in an attempt to cut costs but I still had days where I had to choose between smoking and eating.

So here I am, one year on after having had only one exceedingly bad month off the wagon. I'm vaping PG/VG and nothing else - and you know what? I kinda like it :)

Whatever else has happened in this turbulent year, at least I can be proud of myself for everything I've accomplished with vaping (thanks in no small part to inspiration of the community here).

Whether you're an old hand or just starting out on your vaping journey like I was a year ago, enjoy it and best of luck!!

One year and you're totally nicotine free. That's really fantastic. I'm 10 months off of cigarettes, but I can't see going zero nic anytime soon. But I'm workin' it... I'm workin' it. Congratulations. You are a great example of how e-cigs are meant to be used.

Honestly, I think the beauty of vaping is that you don't *have* to work on it. I never set out to go zero-nic but every once in a while when I mixed up a new batch of liquid I'd drop the nic a little - from 18 to 16 - 14 to 12 and so on. I've been vaping at 6mg/ml for several months now and just figured I'd try zero - after all, I can always mix up another batch of 6mg right?

The goal has only ever been to vape instead of smoking - 10 months off the cigarettes is a fantastic achievement irrespective of whether there's nic in your juice or not :)

Me, too! I just bought my first bottle of zero nicotine and aside from minimal loss of throat hit (6 mg doesn't provide much anyway) I am fine with this. I am sorry to hear it has been a "bloody awful year" for you...I can also relate to that, but it's getting better and I must say that this community provides me a lot of laughs, support, encouragement and social fulfillment that I don't get elsewhere much of the time so thanks for posting, for sharing your journey and being a zero nic inspiration!
