Recently flew out of Tampa International Airport into Detroit Metro Airport and back,and had no issues with TSA and or vaping in the airport. Of course I didn't blow clouds and was VERY stealthy at Detroit (since vaping isn't allowed there), but the whole trip went smooth. I did as suggested here on ECF and split my atty from my battery at TSA points without issue. Only mention made about "e-cigs" was at Detroit and that was related to putting them in the belly of the plane. Just thought I'd share...
