Aside from 4.8v drawing down the battery faster.....using a 1.8 ohm coil should be fine!!
If you don't mind the "top-heaviness" of the setup...VAPE AWAY!!:D
I've used my IGO-L on an eGo 650 Twist....1.8-2.0 ohms.....4.0v -- Not bad!!;)
Although I do prefer my MVP v2 when I drip.....longer battery life....and more stable, physically.....
Happy (vaping) Trails!

This is more for fun. I normally use my chi-you or k101 when using a dripper.

I did this because I saw a post where a b&m told a customer that they needed to buy a mech to use a rda. WRONG!! 1.8ohm single micro coil 29g kanthal 12 wraps w. cotton wick on the IGO-W. 4.8v on a Vision Spinner = fatty high res clouds of tasty vape!!!!
:vapor:

Now try .7 on a mech, then see clouds

the point of this post is lately there is this assumption that rba's are used with mech mods only, this opinion has been gaining traction and is just flat out wrong, it is not about subohm madness at regular resistances on an ego.

I say good going, been using a genesis with vv for a long time now with no problems.
