Ok, so i am used to vivi novas and such, never tried a carto/tank setup till now..

a few issues, first what i am using.

A vamo, boge f16 tank with boge f16 cartos, they are pre punched, flanged, and 1.6ohm and single coil i think. tested it using a new juice i got, a 50/50 pg/vg maple tobacco.. I am also using a tank filler tool i got with my order from canvape.

Ok so firstly, i couldn't use the condom method cause the carto is flanged, so i dripped juice into the carto outside of the tank, took a bit, made sure it was full soaked, put it partially in the tank, put my filler tool, juice kept clogging up and made a mess, finally finished, put it on my vamo, and vaped.

first, i could not get the carto all the way down on the vamo, and a bit of vaper was coming out from under the tank also. everything else was fine, but now for my problem.

how do i take the tank/carto off the vamo!? when i turn the tank, the carto doesn't move. And, say i want to change flavors when the maple tobacco is done, do i have to scrap the carto?

please help, i don't want to end up turning away from cartos lmao.

In my experience i always changed the carto when changing flavors.. So i decided to move on up to SS wick & kanthal wire.. Or just buy a few xtra tanks so you can have multiple flavors.. and about tightening the carto , if you slide the tanks up enough to get your fingers under it you should be able to turn it without completely removing the tank.. Hope this helps some..

When dripping into the carto plug the airway when a round toothpick. Every 5-10 drops do a thermometer shake- juice will come out the bottom- best done outside. This is just for the first fill.

Be very careful about damaging the Vamo threads. Don't have my Vamo yet so maybe others can chime in.

Try GENTLY turning and rocking the carto to remove it. Yes you need a fresh carto for diff juice. With my carto tank I don't use the flanged UNLESS they have a flat edge on the flange- locks into the tank bottom and makes turning easier. I use the XL cartos non flanged because they stick up above the tank and make removal easier.

Check out Baditudes blog about setting up carto tank.Start from scratch and follow his instructions and you should be good to go. You could also check out the UDCT from My Vapor Store that locks carto into place making it easier to take the tank off but I have regular DCT that works great too.If you choose to try the UDCT get the frosted version they offer now as it wont crack from certain juices :) On my DCT the carto goes past the top of the tank and I just unscrew it from device by the top of the carto that the drip tip is attached to.Hope this helps!

I use similar juices in my different tanks .Such as strawberry and blueberry in the same tank and after a few minutes I can taste the new juice I added but thats just me as I dont mind the flavors mixing a little and saves me from going threw so many cartos :) If you dont like that idea just swap out your cartos and put them in small labeled case with type of flavor and rinse tank each time you switch flavors .

hm, wouldn't a carto get all dry and crusty left alone like that?

I just cap them with the rubber condoms from my wifes regular cartos and they are good to go .I also have two tanks I use all day long with about 5 or 6 flavors I rotate threw. So say today I vape a virginia tobacco in one and a strawberry in the other I will vape blueberry the next day in the strawberry one and desert ship or 555 in the other or vice versa.
Even if I do decide to replace the carto to try something different I will more than likely want to vape what was in the old carto in the next few days so I have it capped and just toss it back in then after checking if it needs to be topped off. Most of the time a few prime puffs with the old carto will soak any dry spots in it and its good to go :)

I mix as well. The old flavor goes away quickly. I have even saved the carto until I use a similar flavor at another time. I am currently using one that I saved. Maybe I'm just cheap but it saves money.

I with you on this call me cheap but whatever :D And like you said the flavor goes away quickly if juices are similar.

I have the udct and its great. Its a little more time consuming to fill just because you have to unscrew ring on bottom that holds carto in place to be able to fill it but its not that big a deal.It can have restricted airflow on certain devices so its worth getting a 510 to 510 adapter should you need it but those are like 2 bucks.I recommend only getting the frosted one MVS sells as it wont crack from certain juices. Also make sure you get cartos that have the cut out on the flange .I use these ones Single Coil XL Tank replacement 510 cartomizer for 3.5 and 6ml SmokTank XL - w/flange and 1, 2 or 3 holes.

A trick I'm guilty of using when all else fails is to slide the tank up the carto enough to get needle nose pliers on the flange. On the Vamo, which I've not had to use the aforementioned technique on, I've had pretty decent luck with just pushing down on the drip tip while turning. (That's how I tighten it, too, as to prevent over-tightening.) Not saying either of these techniques are necessarily good ideas; just how I've been doing it.

When switching flavours, I mix, also. I just make sure they're relatively similar. (Yesterday I went from Red Bull to strawberry kiwi with very smooth transition.) As mentioned already, the old one goes away fairly quickly.
