My Precise + 18350 arrived in the mail today, the last piece of kit I was waiting for. I hooked it up with a COV 1.5 dual coil atty, a Super T drip tip, and went about priming the atty with plenty of juice. Started with a 10 drops and the first drag nearly knocked me on my ... - it was incredibly harsh and hot. I kept adding juice in small amounts and finally have it to where it is producing a good amount of vapor. The only thing is that there is still a relatively strong sting at the back of my throat with each toot.

I smoked Newports and American Spirit full flavor menthols for 15 years, so the amount of bite is rather surprising.

Is this something with my particular setup, or is it just something that I will need to get used to?

Thanks, and happy holidays.

Dual coil atty's at 1.5ohm are relatively warm. I love them but being new to this, it may take you some time to get used to it. Congrats on getting a mod. You picked a well made one. You might want to step up on the ohm rating and lower your nic level. I vape 18mg all day, every day like a puffing steam engine.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone. For those that don't celebrate Christmas, have a wonderful holiday season.

i find the bigger the hole in my driptip the more of the throat irritation i get, until i get used to it, i actually kind of like the little rubber tips that come on boge cartos......maybe a drip tip with a smaller hole till you get used to vaping....or maybe i have had too much christmas cheer tonight, i take no responsibility for any post from this point on ;)

Yes I agree you may want to step down your Nic a bit because with Mods you got a lot more power under the hood thus translating into a stronger vape. Many vapers switching to Mods have found they have to notch down their Nic. Also the 1.5 will burn very warm and it may also be a good idea to go up to 2.0 ohm. At least, aside from this minor issue, you are vaping up a storm. Remember it's very important to drink lottsa water. The vapor comes from our bodies and not the juice and dehydration is a common issue with new vapers.
Happy Vaping, Vapoor.
