just wanted to share this octopus win

i got an octopus the other day, and it was fine stock but i wanted more. so today i drilled a 1/16 air hole over the wick/coil assembly. this thing is a beast, with the stock 1.8ohm coil none the less. i did fiddle with the spacing for about 30 mins to get rid of the hot spots. im rockin it on my vamo at 11 watts and this thing is goin strong!

i am going to rebuild the coil tomorrow but im gonna keep it around 1.5-1.8 bc i have no mech to use it on yet

so heres the update: 7 wrap of 28g kanthal for 1.4 ohms + hybrid ss mesh/silica wick + octopus rda = loooots of vapor

i did the same thing plugged the deckhole and drilled one over the coil. turned it into a beast.

i really happy with this little thing, blew my mind when i tried it out after i built the new coil.

Well I screwed up and drilled the holes too big. Having a hard time keeping toothpicks in them. Any other tips for plugging the holes?

im not sure, i didnt plug anything on mine. i just drilled the extra hole. you could try some sort of filler material that would be safe around heat then drill a smaller hole thru that once it sets?

Could just pick up another one for a few bucks and start over?

I drilled the stock airhole and tapped a set screw into the hole to plug it, then drilled a 1/8" hole right next to the coil.
