Juice changing ohms?

Is it possible for juice to change the ohms of a coil? I'm a bit confused. I made a coil, tested it on my volt meter, and it came out to read .8. Ok, so I screwed it into my vamo, and it came up to 1.3. I pulse the crap out of it and work out the hot spots, all is good, but now its reading 1.5... Ok, still not too bad, but I add juice, burn it a bit, now it jumps to 2.6... Then back down to 2.2 now after burning it hard with juice on the wick. I'm using ribbon wire, with 500 mesh, wrapped around a ss cable. I did want to use this coil with my vamo, rather than my mech, but why would the resistance change so much? I oxidized the crap out of the mesh, it was very very black, and this stuff doesn't seem to vape well even at 6 volts on the vamo, and the coil is still jumping resistances like crazy, its up to 2.8 right now. Any idea what the heck could be happening?

Checking the ohms when u still have hot spots will automatically give you a lower (hotter) reading. The correct ohms r prob what Ur getting now at 2.8 its jumping cuz u still probably have tiny hot spots. For the vamo... The ohms meter is ok, use it as an estimate reading. And the vamo can only push full power when using 2 x 18350 batts.

I think I "might" have figured out whats going on, but not sure still to this point. I think the 2nd wrap of my coil was shorting out through the top of my ground screw. It's a 4 wrap of .5x.1 ribbon wire. I changed the way I had my coil hooked to the ground screw now, but its still fluctuating a little. At least its down where it should be now, 1.5-1.8 area. I guess its a bit harder to see tiny hotspots, and harder to work them out with ribbon wire may be what the problem is as well.

You guys are probably wondering why I wanna use this on a vamo if I have a mech. Trying to sell the mech, so don't wanna use it.
