Philip Morris doesn't own any portion of JUUL. So I guess Mr. Shea is speaking in a Post PMI/Altria merger scenario. Which May or May Not even happen.

And some believe that the Altria JUUL Stake would need to be Divested as a Fed Condition of the merger. Ala Blu and BAT.

JMO. But I believe that JUUL will continue to Control it's own Destiny. Whatever that may be?

Whether the 35% JUUL stake is working control or not is murky. The JUUL board knows but likely few others do.

On August 27, NPR reported that Josh Stein, North Carolina’s attorney general, announced that the state was suing eight companies for targeting children with vaping products. The attorney general said that these companies were marketing their vaping products to students with flavors such as cotton candy and gummy bear. His office is urging the court to shut down these companies’ operations due to the health issues and high addiction risk associated with vaping.
