K100 Grip Sleeve removal? Is it easy?

I'm thinking about getting a k100 clone and I'm just wondering if anyone knows how I would go about removing the grip like that if I got it? Does it come right off? That grip is just ugly to me and throws me off. (except champaigne color but they don't seem to sell it on fasttech, gripped, with just the battery for k100 version)

I ordered the stainless silver look so maybe mine will be all one color when i take it off, the rest seemed to have different color, almost like a brass underneath for the threading post.

how did you go about getting yours off? anything i should know or does it pop right off?

I wrapped a hand towel around it for grip and gave the top a few good whacks with a rubber mallet. Popped right off.

I just use a 16mm craftmen socket and a vice. made the vice a little bigger than the inner tube and a few light tap came out as smooth as butter.
