I am thinking about purchasing the k100. I think it is an awesome looking device! I would be using this for dripping mainly. No super low resistance though.
What are the safest 18350 batteries to use?
Do I need a safety fuse?
Does anyone use the igo-l with their k100? Any pics would be appreciated.
Lastly what resistance coils work best on this?

Thanks for your help!

hi susan - the k100 is an excellent device. if you like how it looks, i wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.

the safest 18350 batteries to use would be the aw imr 18350's (700 mah). i personally would not use any other 18350 battery.

if you're going to use an 18350 with a dripper, you absolutely need to make sure you stay within the battery's current limit (which is much lower than similar chemistry 18490/500's or 18650's). the aw battery i mentioned above has a current limit of 6 amps, so if you stay above the 1 ohm range, you will be fine. do not go under 0.7 ohms with these batteries, though - on a fully-charged battery, 4.2v over 0.7 ohms will draw the full 6 amps.

as long as you use good batteries and build safe coils, you technically don't need a fuse, but it's not a bad idea to use one. i don't think they work if you're using sub-ohm coils, though.

no problem!

if you're new to rebuilding, i'd definitely use a safety fuse just to be sure. like anything else, there's a learning curve, and with the amount of space available to build a coil, it's easy to accidentally have it touch something and create a short.

also, if you're going to stay around 1.5 ohms or higher (or whatever the limit for a fuse is), i'd use one anyways. it's basically like a seat belt or airbags: in all likelihood (as long as you follow general safety precautions), you won't ever need it, but you'll be glad it's there if you do.

Here is a pic of my fasttech k100 with igo L, sitting in my bear paw. :)
