K100 vs. K101

I ordered mine from fastech on May 18, and I got it today.
They had a big sale on them since then so it may take a little longer.
I'll know soon, as I ordered another one in a different color.

K101 is what i have, i used a friends 100, same thing.

I just picked up a 101 in exchange for a defective box mod clone. LOVING it so far. Nice heft and hand feel, and the bottom button is actually quite comfortable (I had expected it to be a PITA). Looks a bit like lipstick for robots with my cherry red drip tip, but I'll take that over some of the more... phallic designs out there.

Really impressed so far!

K100 tends to roll if you leave it on its side. So the k101 would be better if you leave your mods lying flat on the table. Less chance of it rolling off.

It looks that way, but it's not true. The K101 will still roll on its side. It has a nice fat bottom though (and who doesn't love that?), so it stands up nicely.

On the kamry website, it states the k101 has some kind of protection chip to protect the battery from explosion? Is this true?

Damn that was a good price. I have the k101 & my husband has the k100. Just the look is diff.

I had a K100 and the locking ring jammed in the open position, at least it could be used. Tried everything to free it off, never got it.

The k100 is pretty solid and cheap. There really is no difference that I can see between the 100 and 101 except for aesthetics. I like that baby blue k101, though. I would go for that. =P

I've been sitting on the edge of the "mech" pool myself now for a couple weeks, wondering if I should jump in. Thing is, I'm a little spoiled now what with having got ahold of a VV in the form of the iTaste. Does the Kick work in the K100 or K101?

It is kick-able. You can only use the smaller batteries i.e. 18500 and below if you do. You also can have trouble getting it out of the sleeve you put it in.
