Kabuki help

I bought my first kabuki tank and I cannot figure out why it tastes horrible. I have cleaned it, tried different juices, different power levels and still horrible.

I also have a random o ring that I can't figure out where it goes. It was under the coil but I'm not sure if it goes there.
