So my K100 is my first mechanical. Can someone point me to a good thread(s) or resource for learning about all the proper care and safety stuff? For example, I had never even heard of the the oxidation and noalox stuff before. I just want to know EVERYTHING and know how to keep it in top form and be super safe.

Haven't touched my K-100 in a while, but I picked up a Nimbus the other day and the two just look so pretty together. Been using it a lot in the past two days.
Take your battery out, screw the atomizer on, and adjust the telescoping part of the 101 to give you more room. Then you can pop your battery back in and tighten down the telescoping tube and you should be good.

So after a few hours of reading about the K100:
Stay at 2.4 ohms or less including clearos, cartos and any other cartridges for a good vape.
Use same caution not to discharge past 3.2v like other mods.
Add a fuse if treading in SLR territories.
Kick optional.
I am good in regards to the ohms issue. I have a multimeter so I can take care of that but what about monitoring the battery. Do I take the multimeter with the kit and take readings during the day to have a "feel" for the battery?
The batteries that I got available are:
Panasonic CGR18650CH and some Efest IMR 18350 800mah.
I am thinking on using a Smok RDA and clearos with a LR head.
Did I got it right or am I missing something?

So how much of a difference is it by sanding the contacts? And if sanded will they have to be coated in some kind of flux?

Haven't made any measurements. 'Noticeable' on lower resistances is all I can say. I do not know of any flux coating to be used on brass contacts. It should be much better than bare Copper in terms of oxidation. I guess every once in a while a cleaning would do? I use noalox on the threads sometimes.

I never cared for the empire sleeve, to be honest. I bought the mech when the 101 came out instead. I like the look of sleeve a lot more, but I just picked up more polishing compound, so I think it's going buh bye.
On that note, does anybody have any cool ideas for changing the finish on the knurled ring?
