SO does anyone know if this ABS plastic melts/cracks/fogs with tank cracker juices? If not I might like this better than the protank as it would be lighter.

It seems only a hand full of people have an X9 on hand (purchased from here I think), but no news yet on whether it can handle tank cracker juices.

I was just sort of hoping someone might know something about that particular plastic. Sort of like we know polycarb can handle those those juices.

I'm unfamiliar with ABS, but from Wikipedia:

ABS polymers are resistant to aqueous acids, alkalis, concentrated hydrochloric and phosphoric acids, alcohols and animal, vegetable and mineral oils, but they are swollen by glacial acetic acid, carbon tetrachloride and aromatic hydrocarbons and are attacked by concentrated sulfuric and nitric acids. They are soluble in esters, ketones, ethylene dichloride and acetone.

The bold text is what concerns me. Oh well, my package is stuck in SF ATM, will probably receive the package early next week and will report back with my findings. :)

Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) (chemical formula (C8H8)x· (C4H6)y·(C3H3N)z) is a common thermoplastic. Its glass transition temperature is approximately 105 °C (221 °F).[1] ABS is amorphous and therefore has no true melting point.

ABS combines the strength and rigidity of acrylonitrile and styrene polymers with the toughness of polybutadiene rubber. While the cost of producing ABS is roughly twice the cost of producing polystyrene, it is considered superior for its hardness, gloss, toughness, and electrical insulation properties.

I just received my order and immediately tested with some TFA cinnamon red hots...clouded within seconds. :(

Might be good with different juice in it, though? What you've just done is to pour concentrated sulphuric acid into a paper napkin.

Found another review of Kamry X10 here Kamry X10 Clearomizer Review | Three Fiddlehead Co.

Vendor says the tank was supposed to be pyrex but is definitely plastic so they contacted Kamry and who updated their description to polycarbonate plastic.

Drip tips appear to be loose due to oversized hole in the top. Only good news appears to be that evod and protank heads thread into it.

So funny thing is, my girlfriend came home with this tank yesterday! lol She bought it from a local vendor. It is definitely not a glass tank but no issues with the drip tip being loose. It is leaking really bad at the bottom though where the base screws into the tank. I'm pretty sure it's missing a rubber gasket though..I know my protank has a rubber seal at the bottom of the base to help keep it sealed. She's going back to exchange it today so we'll see how the next one works out.

There's a link at the bottom of that review to purchase. They're a PA vendor.
thx, missed that. now hopefully they're the real thing with Pyrex and not plastic....

fiddlehead is saying the "kamry" X10 is not Glass. so, what's up with kamry claiming they are.... protank 2 anyone.

Kamrytech released a company statement on their website saying that the products being sold on FastTech are fake..maybe that's why they're not glass tanks?

Very interesting! I have a kts from ft, and comparing it to the pics on the kamry tech site, there is a slight difference in threading on the sleeves.
