I got one the other day. Aside from looking awesome, I'm not too hopeful about its performance. Mine doesn't want to work 1/2 the time, it's not always connecting with the device, and I've tried it on a cool fire 1, 2, and mvp. It's decent when it does connect, but not as good as my nautilus. I'm using 80vg and it's not dry hitting at all. Vapor is good, flavor is ok. Glad I only bought 1. Meh. I paid twice the price for the nautilus, but I don't mind since it works well. May want to give that one a try. Too many options out there. My luck with the iclear 30b wasn't great either. That was my first clearomizer, I didn't know they shouldn't gurgle. Lol I'm still learning. Going to get out of my comfort zone and try a kayfun, or something similar next, and see how the other half live. Don't give up. So many variables. I'd probably replace the head with the spare it came with. Don't know how to fix my pin connection issue. But at this moment it appears to be working. Good luck.

I like the airflow fix; I hate the 510 thread.

When is Kanger going to realise they did it right on the miniprotank and the evod because they used eGo instead of 510

I've had my aero tank about 2 weeks now, I have rebuilt the heads just using single coil. Today I rebuilt another one and it wouldn't work on my vtr. After messing around with it, I found that the chimney that goes into the body was touching the side of the tub. I just put a small piece of wire casing over the chimney and fixed it. Not sure if yours is having the same problem or not. This thing works great now on single coil at 1.2 ohms and at 3.5 volts with the air control open all the way vaping 100% vg boba's bounty. No wicking issue at all.

How do you like your Coolfire2? I was thinking of picking one up.

You are not incorrect;

If you put 3.8volts on a 2 ohm coil whether it is 1 single 2 ohm wire, or 2 4 ohm wires, you will burn 7.6 watts;

But the two 4 ohms coils are going to be running alot cooler than the single 2 ohm coil.

To put it another way, if you want to use one 4 ohm coil what voltage would you use?
You're using 3.8 volts on the 2 ohm coil; you'd probably go up to 5 volts if you had a 4 ohm coil.
Now add the second coil in parallel; now you're really cooking at 12.5 watts.

Yes and depends on wire size and length of wire ie number of loops. If the wire size is the same; assume one 2ohm coil is 4 loops then two 4ohm coils in parallel with ~8 loops each then yes coils will run cooler.

Nor can I find anything on how to clean the atomizer, do I pull the coil out to clean it? Or can I run the coil under hot water or will that damage it??

For me, I just let them soak in a cup of almost boiling water (microwaved water for 1 - 2 mins) for about 2 hours then move them to a cup with Vodka in it over night.

I have been using only Kanger (evod and protank 3) for a few months now. I must say that I am almost at the end of my time playing with these coils. The SINGLE coils are quite easy to get right and do the job they should, however, the dual coils are more trouble than they're worth it seems. I build a coil almost daily because they either burn too hot (from not wicking fast enough), or they will leak or gurgle. This comes from too much or not enough wick. Finding the right amount is very hard. So far what works best in my opinion, is using bigger diameter shaft to wind your coils and use cotton for the wick. I have almost no issues at all since I started doing this. A toothpick is a good estimate of coil diam. This way you can get just enough cotton in the two coils to keep it from gurgling without having any excess wick that will slow the flow through the body. And of course throw a small piece on top for flavor, but I don't have a problem getting flavor without it. I used to put a wick between the coils to keep them separated, this is where the juice starvation came from and I no longer use the divider either. Very tricky to figure this out, but if you do then you can get your dual Kanger coils living for more than a couple days again. Any questions about this set up message me.

I think the coils themselves being a new thing are also a bone of contention for some people, I am still on my first coil from release day as I had mine on a pre-order and it delivers day in, day out, no burny taste, good cloud and hit and I am surprised it has lasted this long tbh but I do have it set to the middle road "green" spot for wattage on my Kmax.

I bought mine primarily as an outdoor walkabout atty that can be upside down and in my pocket without worrying of leaking or breaking.

Shocking for Kanger but this is 10 days on first dual coil that came with it. I'm not a light vaper, I go through 3 tanks a day easy on the aerotank alone, if I am not at work, which I have not been the last week. I can't believe no dry hits, no burnt taste, and I mix RY4 double with Irish Cream so there is some sweet stuff in there (50vg/50pg).
I'm not even going to attempt to rebuild a dual coil, I do rebuild the single coil Kangers and barely have the patience for that :laugh:

I've had the Aerotank for about 5 days now,..... I have every intention of using my Kanger single coils in this, after I use up the 2 duals.

You can swap the dual coils for singles? I use and love my protank II's. I added the air flow valves to them and they are awesome. However, I am having issues such as the neck becoming very hot on my mini aerotank. I just got it for travel, and so far I am not fond of it. I think it is the dual coil, and wondered if you could swap them out?

I'm still using the coil that came with my Aero tank . I ditched the silica for cotton. Vapes like a champ on my maraxus and hammer with 60 vg 40 pg mix. IMHO cotton provides better wicking in the aerotank.
With everyone saying cotton works better, why doesn't someone make them this way? How do you change them to cotton?
