Hi all. I'm trying to figure this out, and for the life of me I can't. Why if I put a stock single coil in my PT2 does the MVP and istick read it as the proper ohm (or close to it), but if I put the coil in the kanger air flow controller, and then put the tank on the device does the coil read almost double the ohm that the coil actually is?

Here is a picture of the airflow controller, it came in a Kanger box:

Any help or light that you can shed would really be appreciated.

Thanks.

is this the wrong airflow controller to put on the bottom of the PT2? I loved the vape that it gave, but all of my vv/vw devices won't fire because it is reading the ohms as beyond its firing range.

If you have ANY idea, please help. I've had to take the controller off so I can use my vv3, mvp and/or istick with the tank.

My first thought is that your AF adapter is adding resistance due to a manufacturing defect in the center pin. You could verify this by using an ohm meter to test it between the top and bottom of the pin and look for a figure that`s very close to zero resistance. It could also not be making a good connection to the head itself, again, you could check this with the ohm meter.

For what its worth I was not too impressed with a AF adapter I got from Kanger and I have found that they are the kind of company that simply lets the customer be the final (perhaps only) quality control inspector. The consequence of this is that I got highly irritated with always being at whim of Kanger`s lack of QC and started rebuilding my own coils. Once I did this I found that I no longer needed the AF adapter due to the increased vapor I was getting out of my coils.

I know its not an easy solution, but it pays off big time. :?)

Best Regards.
