Kanger Coils Testing Low on MVP 2

I've been on a question binge. Please forgive me.

I just got the MVP 2. I've been testing all my 2.0 ohm Kanger coils on the device and they have generally read between 1.8-2.0 ohm. Ok. Then today, I changed the coil and it's consistently reading 1.5 for 2.0 ohm coil. I tried power cycling a couple of times and the reading has stayed the same.

Do I have a "bad" coil or is there something about the way I'm using or testing it that could be causing the low reading? It's not like it's effecting my vaping, but I'd like to know why this is happening.

i have noticed alot of kanger coils coming in under or over what they say but is a coil that was previously showing 2.0 showing 1.5 now or is it a fresh coil showing 1.5?

yeah. Don't trust the factory number. It is just a print on the atm. Its rare to match, at least about mine kanger coils. Just stick to your ohm reader.

I've had the same thing happen multiple times. The nice thing about the MVP 2, (I have one), is that if you're in doubt just put it in Watts mode and it does all the calculating for you and it won't fire if there's a faulty problem (Safety)

A fresh one showing 1.5.

Good tip. I was wondering how that variable wattage mode would come into play. Thanks!

Kanger had some problems in Europe with crap coils. Maybe those coils are hitting US now.
