Don't know what I was thinking, well I wasn't thinking. Anyway I am going to the beach this summer so I thought I would buy a squonker on the cheaper side to use while I'm there. Use of ease, no problem if I break it as I am mod poor...lol, and I do not want to use my SX Mini M or Provari Radius (my two daily mods) out on the sand.

So without reviewing it first (had a brain fart I guess) as I always review before buying I ordered one and it will be here today. After reading the reviews it seems to have a battery problem maybe a software glitch. I only use 30amp or higher batteries as I build my own coils and use mostly rdta's.

I only paid $35 for it so if that's the case I guess it will be a no go. Has anyone had any luck with these and have they redone the update yet.

On another note I went ahead last night and ordered a COV Wraith, but will be changing the rda out to a tsunami, as I don't like a really wide bore chuff cup.

You have me curious, what batteries do you use, and where do you buy them... 30 amp or higher?

I get them from my local B & M that my friends own. At least I thought they were good. It's what they say and all they use and they do not sell any clone mods. But upon looking at someone's rating on here what they say they are and what they perform are two totally different things.

Imren green 3200 mah
MXJO yellow 3000 mah

Have had no problems with either.

If it does not have to be regulated have a look at Coppervape BF Mod. Could probably be washed or air blasted out if it got sandy.

That's a really nice BF. I'm just not into mechanical mods. I've tried them and just not comfortable with them. I have about 4 mechanical tube mods collecting dust. Thanks for the referral though.

It was the "more" thing that raised a red flag IMHO.... 18650's im assuming i wouldnt be caught using them, either way there is no way to know 100% what is under the wrap as they are not the BIG 3 Samsung, Sony, LG

Also a 30amp 3000mah battery would totally be unlikely and highly questionable unless it is BRAND NEW TECH.

I hear you. I will do some more investigation. I have some sony I can drag out. Thanks for the heads up
Well, i hear people mentioning mechs, while there are many regulated mods with internal temp sensors to offer a semblence of protection from a thermal runaway i wouldnt use something rated at 30 amps that has more than ~1500 mah... just not realistic. Looking out for your safety this is by no means a "show you up" post in any way shape or form. Be safe and vape on. Look for mooch's trusted vendors, i havent been disapointed by IMRBatteries.com

Do you know the watts where your bread and butter is? are you vaping regulated or unregulated or mech (yes all 3 categories exist) If the latter 2 what is your ohms... These are important in a good battery selection. I know this is about the Kanger Dripbox but its like driving a Ferrari shell with a pinto engine or driving a civic shell with a 350 under the hood :D ill take the latter

What battery problem are you referring to specifically?

I just got my Dripbox 2 today and it's working great with a Samsung 25r at 50 watts on a .35 ohm build in my Split. The Dripbox 2 does the same crappy job as the Dripbox 160 with the battery meter (says almost empty at 3.7 volts) but that's the only con so far.

I don't build anything under about 0.8 ohms and mostly stay between 20 to 30 watts. Lower end most of the time. And I see where you are coming from. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this with me. Also always regulated. Also I only do watts, not into the temp thing. I am pretty seasoned on vaping, going on 4 yrs. I have owned more mods than I should. I build my own coils, always check my ohms.
