It's always a good idea to take apart and clean any new clearos, tanks and such. Seems like there's often some oil or similar residue from manufacturing. And the occasional loose head, that will probably leak.

Hope a thorough cleaning will fix yours, 421. Learn the tricks of "care and feeding" and they work well.

Although I prefer the higher capacity of the T3S :)

I've had 2 evod clearos now that have had that burnt rubber taste/aftertaste. It isn't that much of a bother, but being a hypochondriac, I hope it's not hazardous. (ie pvc pipe vapor). Before these evods I used Smokeless Image Volt X2 batteries and Volt clearos (top coil/long wick). I NEVER had any chemical, plastic, rubber, etc... tastes from them. Personally I think evods are crap; the gurgling, leaking, the fact that I've had 2 just completely quit working in our summer heat here in Georgia, and this was a mild summer compared to most. My Volt batteries and clearos never gave me any issue unless I got liquid in the port. As a matter of fact, I think I'll place another Smokeless Image order for my old gear. The only reason I went with evods is because our local brick-and-mortar vape stores carry them so I don't have to wait on shipping.
