My wife and I started vaping just about a month ago. We both started with the ego-c upgrade and the vision clearomizer, the one that cannot be rebuilt.

Not happy with the vision clearo, I have moved on to the evod and protanks. I love them but my wife does not. She is still unhappy with the vision so I'm looking for recommendations. Here is what she has tried and doesn't like.

Vision V2 non-replaceable head. Does not last long. Probably getting dirty so throw away and grab another. This gets pricey at $5 a clearo. Other than that, with the exception to the occasional dry/burnt hit, she is happy with them.

EVOD - a little too airy and does not like the mouth piece.
Protank - way too airy and too big for her battery. Even with the beauty ring.
Vivi Nova Mini - taste like plastic. Rinsed, still plastic. Rinsed, different juice, still plastic. No TH and seems harder to draw giving less hit. Also does not like the mouth piece.

So to stop collecting clearomizers I thought I would ask for a recommendation here. She overall likes the Vision V2 and mouth piece but hates they don't last long. I also tried the V3 with replaceable heads but they seem to last even less. So even though the heads are cheaper, as more often she needs to replace them it costs more than the V2.

I'm thinking of something with a tight draw like the Vision but bottom feed. Also with a mouth piece like the Vision. If the Evod was slightly tighter and could replace the tip, I think she would like it. Something like this would eliminate the dry/burned hits waiting on the wicks and would be easy to clean and dry burn extending the life.

I thought about the Kanger T3. My local B&M suggested an iClear but I wasn't sure if the dual coils would work with her ego-c upgrade.

I haven't been at this long, so take what I say with a grain of salt. That said, I've been VERY happy with my Kanger T2. I think it's less airy than the T3 (I have the mini version of those) and the EVOD, it holds a little more without being a monstrosity (like the Protank), and it hasn't leaked or gurgled once. iClear isn't a bad suggestion -- I'm pretty happy with mine (the smaller one; iClear 16, I think). It's got a good draw and loads of smoke with the dual coils ... especially on my spinner.

Good luck!!!

i have 6 authentic Vision 2.0s (V3) in rotation since March 28 and have yet to replace any of the heads. thats 3 months 3mL/day. you could say that's like using 1 for two weeks straight but i like to carry 3 or 4 flavors at all times.

No burnt taste and the only dry hits i get is when there is absolutely no liq left thats not on the wicks. only got 1 leak in all that time because one silicone ring got moved off the groove. i do hot water soaks between tanks and only dry burn every 3 fills

That's not bad. Will have to try the hot water soaks and a dry burn. I'm pretty sure I have the authentic versions. They do have the V logo on them and my local B&M where I got them says they are. So as long as they aren't lying (or don't know any better) and someone else isn't forging them, I will have to give them another try.

The T3 is nice but it is a little airier. How about a EE2? I have an Super Excalibur, nice shape holds 6 ml. It is a big tank but I think the way it is shaped there are less dry it. I am enjoying mine The draw is harder than the T3. I agree with your wife I didn't like my mini vivi(clone) it does have a plasticy taste abnd it seems to be prone to dry/burnt hit even with new wicks.

The iclear16 and iclear 30. Top dual coils, tighter draw than the Kanger bcc. The heads are replaceable and last a good month with proper washing between flavors or once a week.

I have T2s (which I like) and Protanks (airy draw and metallic taste throw me off, though), but I love my iclears more. They're more like drawing on a cigarette, which I still love the feel and warmth. Flavor is better than the T2, and about equal with the Bcc's.

I like the iClear 16s and I've tried a lot of different clearos. I used to use the T3's but I've gotten more and more annoyed with them. The ones I have now leak constantly and give really muted airy hits. I wasn't that impressed with the Evods either, same problem, muted and airy. Feels like I have to drag for a long time to get a somewhat decent hit. Maybe it's just the heads I have?

As for the iClear 16, the dual coils seem to make a noticeable difference, coming from someone who usually doesn't use dual coils. I'm not a fan of wick type clearos, but these work pretty well for me and I find cleaning the clearo and coils quite easy. Just rinse out the clearo and wicks, pat the wicks dry with a paper towel, then perform a quick dry burn to get the burnt stuff off the coils.

Me? I'm dead sold on OCD's IBT glass tanks.

Not only are they wildly durable...they come in amazing hand glass-blown colours and designs.

Plus, the tanks are offered in a nifty array of sizes and types...and they hold up to the most cartomizer-eating flavours (like cinnamons, pluids, purer citruses, and gingers!)

I see myself ordering about one a month going forward so I can switch out every one of the hard-core flavours I love in a trice.

Hi mate I second the iclear 16 or 30, the battery should handle either. I've used the 30 now for 3 months 3ml a day rotating 2 heads cleaning by using a warm water rinse then a 2 hour vodka soak and 1 more warm water rinse then let dry. Haven't burnt out a head yet, can't see it happening anytime soon either.

I'll also suggest a Carto/tank setup, for more info on these look up Baditude on ECF forum and check out his blogs.

GL. Happy Vapeing.

Thanks everyone. I've thought about the carto/tank setups being what we always taste in our local B&M is in a carto and seem to loose flavor in our clearo. I will have to research further and look up baditude's blogs.

I might go ahead and try the iclear. I've been reading good things about them but wanted to make sure her simple ego-c would handle them. She doesn't want the tank too tall making her setup so big so I will probably try the iclear16.
