hi everyone,

i have been vaping for a couple of months now had awesome results until now...
I bought a starter kit which consisted of two ego-t batteries and two evod bcc's has worked great found juices that i keep buying consistanly (MLV sour granny& FC black cherry) havent gotten to the point of rebuilding or anything quite yet still in the plug and play. but lately the replacement coils i have been using suck big time. the guy in my local vape store said that the 1.8 ohm coils would work best with the kit that i bought, but ive used three of them now and not for very long until i start getting burnt tastes. its almost like the juice isnt getting to the wicks fast enough? anyone else have this problem with these heads or is it kanger making shotting ones acrossed the board. i think the ones that i started with were the 2.2 ohm coils and they worked awesome.......so frustrated i think its time to move on to something more consistant. still like the sise of the ego batteries and suggestions on what cartos to use that are a little more reliable until i upgrade big time?

thanks all

I have used anything from 1.5 - 2.0 Ohm heads in EVODs. I generally find the 2.0 work a little better, but get satisfying results from the 1.5's
I am currently only using EVOD's for testing new juices I make and have moved to ProTank2 and Aero. I love the glass clearos for their flavor and ease of cleaning. If you happen to go to the ProTank2 I would strongly recommend getting the Aero base to go on it, provides some great air flow...

Are the heads your buying/using real kanger or are they cheap knockoffs? Some places say they sell kanger but they aren't. There are many variables to why your having such a bad time with them starting with knockoffs.
The real protank heads have the ohm etched into the base of the head, they are in foil packages of 5 and the box says Kangertech on it. If your missing any of these signs in your heads then chances are your using knockoffs and are going to have a rough time with them. Post some pics of the heads and packaging.

im not quite sure how to post pictures but i looked at the head and they have all of the markings that you mentioned so maybe the two that ive used were just bum heads??????

Once you've gotten enough bad heads then its time to learn some DIY or rebuild those kanger heads and getting some life out of those bum heads. I don't know if kanger has improved their quality control since I haven't used a stock head in over a year. Opening one up and having a look inside, look for coils touching each other, unevenly spaced wraps, flavor wicks that have fallen to the side blocking airflow thus burning juice onto the coil cause the coil gets too hot and the list of maybe's goes on and on. Youtube is a invaluable asset in the learning curve of vaping. :)

1: get a variable voltage setup so you can adjust your voltage/power level for the ohms or liquid that you are using;
2: rewick with cotton; I found it a whole lot easier than I expected, and big difference being able to rewick them myself instead of just taking what I get.

Since you liked the 2.2 ohm coils you originally got, have you tried getting more of those? I, personally, prefer the 1.8 ohm coils, but I usually order both the 2.2 and the 1.8. Either work for my daughter and me. I have also been cleaning the coils as we notice lack of productivity, and plan to try my hand at dry burning and rewicking with cotton as soon as my organic cotton balls come in. The Kanger coils that I get from Sun Vapes and Mt. Baker Vapor come in a black box with white writing and are marked KangerTech. The spare coils we got with our Evod clone starter kits came in a white box, were 2.5 ohms, and neither my daughter nor I liked them. They were not marked Kanger.

the guy at my local vape shop keeps telling me that the 1.8 coils will work better and when i have told him they dont he keeps insisting that they will might just be one or two bum ones. i have asked him for the 2.2 but hes obviously not the best to deal with but hes the only one near when i live.
