I have always thought e-leaf made a poor business decision by not doing a re-iteration of the iStick 50. In my opinion, they should have created a 60+ Watt Temp Controlled version back in mid to late summer.

The Kanger K-Box 70W is what e-leaf should have done months ago. The K-Box looks exactly like the iStick 50 and everything is also located in the same exact place such as all the switches and USB port.

I can't really talk about it's performance because I actually just got it a few hours ago. I haven't really played around with it yet but so far I have put a Crown tank on it with a Ni200 coil. The K-Box keeps kicking itself out of Temp Mode back into Wattage Mode with this particular coil but I am assuming it's because the coil is reading at .35 ohms and the K-Box thinks it's doing me a favor by switching over to wattage mode. If someone could confirm this, that would be good.

I'll report back after a day or so and let you know how I think it performs.

Hi there !
How are doing with the K-box 70 ?
Recently oredered an Istick 40 from Fasttech but it is in restocking status now, searching for an alternative found the Kbox 70 for an extra 7 dollars.
Looking for info on that mod (there's not much) found your post, so I wanted to ask you what you think about it.
There's no better review that one from a real user.
Thanks

iStick 60w and 100w TC models available! But those take 18650 batteries you buy separately. I just got in the regular 100w model and then saw the TC version while having a pair of 40w TCs here already. Never bother with the TC mode and when talking with others who run with RDAs they stay with wattage.

The 40w is still a good little mod for a fast grab. But the more people I talk the more state they could care less about the TC mode indicating only the additional mode is the actual seller while hardly anyone stays with it!

Here my interest following the 150w Luxyoun was matching wattage per each tank design's maximum which usually proves to be less that the max on the device being used. A Freemax Starre maxes with some flavors at about 70-80w while the information shows 100w with the 0.4 or 0.5ohm coil? I found with most the Freemax Starre, Starre Pro, and new Scylla all seem to run better at the 30-40w range! not much higher then the Aspire tanks.

A lot will depend on the gear as well as the ejuice you put into a tank! If you are looking for an increase but not wanting to become a cloud master then a good tank that will take some higher watts can work as well at 40-50w while another tank seems to work out at 20-25w!
One comparison made with a particular flavor in the Freemax Starre tank was what saw the 70-80w while on an Aspire Atlantis original with 5ml replacement tank saw 25-30w and seemed very close vaporwise as far as the hit and flavor at the same time only seeing two totally separate tank and coil designs in use.
The TC option however is the ability to set the max temp seen when turning thing up so you won't end up with a hot vape not too many want. Typically however each ejuice will have it's own "Sweet Spot" being different for each person at times. Tank design, particular ejiuce maker, device, and voltage or wattage setting will vary according to preference. In fact that's one thing many eGo type battery and other small low wattage device users still don't understand about sub ohm tanks and higher watts only seeing them as cloud chasing gear not realizing the improved hit as well as seeing a full flavor being brought out at time.s For medium to heavy former smokers however higher wattages and better output is plus factor.
