Hi guys!

Just ordered myself the Kbox 200w, just wondered if anyone has used one before? It seems like a safe bet at £39 and seems like a decent bit of kit.

Also bought a few bits to start making my own coils for my Tobeco Turbine rda. I just wanted to ask if I can use my mod as an ohm checker for the short term until mine gets delivered.

Is that a ridiculously unsafe idea? Just wanted a few peoples opinions...

Thanks in advance for any replies.

No worries.

I'm glad to hear you paid only £39.99.

Needless to say, the 'top' google store (UK) that we all love to hate certainly aren't charging that. Even Myepack can't get down to £40...

Nice shopping @MattyVigilante :)
I'm also safe in the knowledge that my mod is genuine Kanger. I've bought from this retailer several times before and each time it's a genuine product :)

Making your own coils can be extremely safe. You'll be using a regulated mod so it's even safer.
Really? I mean I do understand the risks and have made coils before but always had a friend's ohm meter to check any new coils before firing them.

But that being said I thought that modern mods are designed to shut down if they sense a weak link in the electrical circuit?

Awesome. Where from?

I just get sooo tired of people buying from "those other blokes" because Google is King of everything.

That is correct. It has a minimum ohm reading, anything below that it won't fire. I have been making my own coils for a long time and I haven't touched an ohm reader in months. But since you're newish use that thing every time, at least use the reader on the mod.

He runs a local shop in my area called good news, he's set up in the back and has some AWESOME stuff. Plus he looks after his regular clients, (free juice our way to try, allows us to try any mods, tanks, or other bits of kit he gets in) he has ordered it in for me and I should have it in a couple of days.

I recommend using a stand alone meter. The mod works, but I don't trust them. Still, I don't think you'll have a serious safety issue. The mod is regulated and designed to not do anything stupid.
That's what I thought, it's only a short term solution for a couple of weeks at the longest. Just wanted to gauge how great the risk was before I go ahead with it.
